This popped up on my FB feed, not my local area. This would be at least double the price where I live and just wondered what it would be worth in your local area ?

Check out this 3 bedroom terraced house for sale on Rightmove

3 bedroom terraced house for sale in Thompson Street West, Darlington, DL3 for £165,000. Marketed by Venture Properties, Darlington

Double at least, probably £350. I love that it's got an outside bog! Even better that that is listed as a perk in the description😆

you don't want the gardener coming into the house do you?

CautiousLurker2 · 25/03/2026 21:22

£850-900k acc to Rightmove for a 3 bed/1 bath terrace.

Posh bit of Surrey.

Happyjoe · 25/03/2026 21:22

About £400 - £450k as its done up nice. SE England, close to London.

Jamclag · 25/03/2026 21:23

Around 600 - 650k. Affluent bit of a Northern city.
House prices are ridiculously uneven in the UK.

ChickpeaCauliflowerSalad · 25/03/2026 21:23

It's not the kind of housing stock we have around here, but looking at it the other way, for that kind of money you'd barely get a 1 bdrm older apartment.

What's Darlington like to live in??

MysticHalfWitch · 25/03/2026 21:26

This has blown my mind. This house is in my home town and I can’t believe what it would go for in some places.

Notanotherusername2626 · 25/03/2026 21:26

I live about 20 minutes away from this and it would be a good 300k or so here.

The prices in the NE vary massively based on how desirable the location is.

BrimfulofSacha · 25/03/2026 21:27

£500k plus in the market town next to me (no Victorian terraces in my village) East Anglia

Growlybear83 · 25/03/2026 21:28

Getting on for £1m in my part of London.

anotheranonanon · 25/03/2026 21:28

That is a lot of house for £165k.

Superfoodie123 · 25/03/2026 21:28

I have a similar house less updated london suburb £500k

Bitzee · 25/03/2026 21:28

Serious garden envy and the house is lovely! Around here I would think £1.3 ish, maybe more because the garden would definitely attract a premium.

TheChosenTwo · 25/03/2026 21:29

A similar 3 bed terrace near me is £925k although it has a nicer and bigger garden (no outside loo though!), but ready to move into and a similar sort of vibe to the one in the op. I suspect also on street parking too which is an absolute no no for me 🫠

Kalanthe · 25/03/2026 21:30

In the area where I live probably £800k at least

But do mind it’s right next to a huge cemetery according to the map

DrCoconut · 25/03/2026 21:30

Probably low £100s. You can get smaller terraces for around £85 to £90k still round here.

troppibambini6 · 25/03/2026 21:30

Around £750,000. The Times reckon it’s the best place to live in the northwest.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 25/03/2026 21:31

At least 750k, outer SW London.

clareykb · 25/03/2026 21:32

Slightly more than that but not loads say 175kish (North East but nearer to a city so approx 20miles from that one)

Shallijustgo · 25/03/2026 21:33

Something similar in our town is £650k !!! Crikey!!

Blossoms217 · 25/03/2026 21:34

£190k / 200 Bradford 🤣

EmbarrassmentLovesCompany · 25/03/2026 21:34

Within 3 miles of my home you can have a lovely 3 bed terrace for upto 350k. You could also get your choice of 3 bed terraced with change from 50k. It wouldn't be high on my desirable area list tho.

That one you've found isnt to my taste, but has obviously had a lot of love poured into it.

Twooclockrock · 25/03/2026 21:34

About 600k

Darlodweller · 25/03/2026 21:35

£165K. But then I do live 6 minutes away from that house!

AllJoyAndNoFun · 25/03/2026 21:36

Would vary wildly, even in my town- anywhere from 300k to 1 million, depending on area.
