Partner hasn’t paid our holiday and now cancelled …would you be angry ?

We had a holiday to Mexico booked.
It cost £3,900
Every month i have been transferring him £300 for 6 months for my half.
He has told me today its been cancelled as he only paid the £500 deposit
He said he was borrowing in to the money and was going to pay it back but before he knew it he had to find the £3,400 and could only pay £2,000 off it so Tui have cancelled it.

Im so angry
He’s told me he will just book it last minute in June and we can still okay.
He said from next month he’s putting away £1,000

He stole, he lied and he’s cheated you out of a holiday. I’d be taking over the finances asap as he clearly can’t do the right thing!

Because the OP hasn't said that the money has gone and he's said as much. Just that the holiday has been cancelled.

I think many on here have taken the holiday being cancelled as him defrauding money when there isn't any evidence of that.

This. Plus, refuse to pay 'your half' of the cancellation fee because it's not your fault the holiday was cancelled.

Ask him to transfer yiu back the money in 48 hours. If you do not receive it, file a claim with the small claims court online. You are a victim of fraud. Above all else, let’s get your money back to you first.

You should be livid, he has stolen your money. The relationship is over, how could you ever trust him again?!

Never trust him financially again.
If you stay with him you will have a very uncertain life financially - its a doomed relationship.

What is dreadful and something OP should bear in mind is his attitude towards her. He’s playing her, holds her in contempt, knows he can get money off her, knows she won’t react, basically treating her as a fool.

No doubt he’s charming, knows which buttons to press, to get what he wants.

The ugly truth is that if OP ever gets the courage to dump him, he’ll be out on the town with another woman whose fallen for his ‘charms’.

Take this from someone that has just come out the other side after 15 years... there is something going on and if you stay with this man, you will be poor all your life. I am independently wealthy and he (Ex OH) almost bankrupted me. Stole and lied for 12 years to me and our children.

There's an old saying says You can't take the knickers off a bare bot!! If he has spent the £1800 theres no way he can give you it back. The thing you want to find out is there any money left and what did he spend it on?
Has he maybe lost his job?
