I'm no fan of Donald Trump, but..

I'm no fan of Trump but imagine if Biden or Harris had won the 2024 election:

Maduro would still be destroying Venezuela

The Ayatollah would still be killing his own people in Iran

Iran would still have nuclear weapons

There would probably still be Israeli hostages in Gaza

India and Pakistan could be at war

As could Armenia and Azerbaijan; Rwanda and DRC; Egypt and Ethiopia; and Cambodia and Thailand

Russia would be in a much stronger position in Ukraine

Other NATO countries would be spending less on defence.

He's not very good domestically but that's an incredible record on foreign affairs. Let's face it: The world would be on fire if Biden or Harris had won. Trump is seen as a strong man around the world and, outside of the west, that's probably respected.

How many went out on the streets begging for US intervention? A population of 90million people, how many people went out there, do you have those percentages? Because according to a lot of people those percentages are enough to justify attacking a foreign country and forcing regime change. Estimates say 5million people protested, that makes 5% of the population. So we should all listen to that 5% who were 'begging for help' but should ignore everyone else because they couldn't possibly be acting on their own free will?! Again people are just hearing what they want to hear.

No, it is you who is only listening and seeing what you want to hear and see.
I have spent the day with approx 300 British Iranians who are absolutely thrilled and dancing in the street. Yet you want us to believe that because you saw a woman on sm mourning the evil regime (probably under duress), that your opinion is more valid.

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 01/03/2026 18:57

Do you believe that the protests by the Iranian people were what motivated the intervention?

No idea, I didn't make the decision to intervene.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 01/03/2026 20:17

Spare a thought for the Ayatollah's 14 year old widow and their 25 children.

I’m not sure when listening to oppressed women became such an issue but there is their reality of how brutal that oppression is which brings some urgency to their situation. Eye gouging, deaths, bodily mutilation should probably be more of a concern than it is and doesn’t really deserve this mocking kind of response.

It’s been decades. I think they have every right to not want it to continue.

But also what do you want to happen? What should they have done?

Yeah, you've said all of this before, repeatedly in fact.

British Iranians, I suppose they are all on their way back there now are they?

Many of them do want to go back, yes. What a silly question. They love their country and many have family there.

I can see you dislike hearing about their oppression, how terrible for you. And you still haven’t answered what they should have done. I take it you can’t.

So they are on their way back there now? They've been celebrating the state of Iran at the moment and are heading straight back right? Or are they going to wait and see how this all pans out, be cautious, like you know all of the posters who are being accused of being pro Iran because they are being cautious about what this means?

No, I don't dislike it, I've read your repeatative posts about it about 20 times over now. I'll answer your questions the minute you start answering other people's posts. It's not a one way street EasternStandard where you get to preach at people and demand answers to your questions.

Shall I ask them next week for you?
I'll let them know that a woman on MN thinks they are full of shit unless they've already booked a flight.

I’ve read your repetitive posts and still nothing on what you actually expected them to do.

Btw there’s a very good poster on here called @AddyBeewho talks well on how Iranian people feel. I don’t blame her if she avoids this thread but on others I recommend people read and hear her take.

You are a BIT a fan of Trump, though, aren’t you? A bit? Tell the truth and shame the devil…..

Do you think it's Melania writing this crap....

YourAmplePlumPoster · 01/03/2026 20:40

I'll tell you why he was murdered. It's pure Islamophobia and everyone in the West should be ashamed. At least that is what I heard from Jeremy Corbyn.

rainingsnoring · 01/03/2026 19:59

Another narrow minded post, which only confirms what I just suggested. You think that everyone is in a little political box where they either support Corbyn or Trump whole heartedly?!
While I don't support all of Corbyn's political ideas, he is the only Western leader that I can think of immediately who is principled and refused to be bought by lobby groups (Trump has clearly been bought by the Israelis and others). Corbyn is a man of integrity, hughly unusual in a politician. That is why he was torn down by the MSM.

Principled? Corbyn?
He supports terrorists. Openly and without shame. Men who have organised blowing up British people.
He is an open anti semetic.
I hve no idea on his views on trans but I bet he thinks women can have a cock.

I struggle to find anybody in the Labour Party who I could find has principles. It’s certainly nothing like the party I grew up with. For me, John Smith was the last decent man. Hillary Benn has had his moments - just not enough.

Are you able to show evidence for any of your assertions? As in, the words actually comign out of Corbyn's mouth, as opposed to the British media throwing around accusations? He was torn down because he refused to continue the US geopolitical stance and be bought by the Israeli lobby. The media have a great deal of influence on everything.

Just have a read. She speaks for the people she knows. Mocking and not listening doesn’t get anyone far.

She’s living it in a way most on here are not.

Ffs, you are a one trick pony. 'the women I heard today, the women I heard today' over and over and over.

What about the women crying on the streets of Iran mourning the loss of their leader EasternStandard? Are you listening to them, do you want them to get what they want too? If not why not? Do those women not count for you? What about the women terrified of what is come, the ones who have watched what the West have done to the Middle East in the past, no thoughts on them either I suppose?

I'm not the one dismissing people here. You the one that can't see anything outside of your blinkers.

The women on the streets in Iran are crying at the death of their leader because when someone has been conditioned their whole life to accept being treated badly then its difficult for them to see what 'normal' looks like. A bit like the victims of domestic abuse. You surely understand that the women under the rule of this monster suffered hugely?

Google it. He openly tells people who he is. I'll give him that - whilst his views are abhorrent to most people, I guess at least he's not shy at sharing that information.
