Which one would it be? I'll go first. The Father Of The Bride house. It's just so lovely and welcoming. I imagine it would be so cozy at Christmas too... I live on my own so obviously it would be me and five cats.

I know most of you will probably say the Mrs Doubtfire house but I cannot be arsed with hills!

Frasier's apartment (original series) or the one on Mad About You

The lake house from The Lake House and, if I'm allowed a series, Barton Cottage from the 2008 BBC version of Sense and Sensibility. Cottage by the sea with a stream, no near neighbours AND hills/clifftops to wander around being pensive?! Absolute dream.

They do overlook a prettyish sort of a little wilderness, however.

Not a direct answer, but the late David Niven's house in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is one of the most breathtaking houses I've ever seen. Alas, only from the outside.

Gilmore girls, the holiday, Paddington, Bridget Jones’ small flat in the ?first? film, BUT if we can twist the premise slightly then I’ll go for either Dawn French’s house in her new comedy, or Sue Johnstone’s house in Jam and Jerusalem.

Bag End - I'm short enough; having tall friends over might be difficult but I would also happily settle for one of the houses from the Piorot series (Five Little Pigs or Dead Man's Folly (actually Agatha Christie's house I think), if I have to be specific) as my other houses.

I agree with the house in Paddington. We could organise a time share for it - I can stay in one of the above three houses when others have use of it
