I am rather too familiar with US Ghosts having spent an entire day in a Same Day Emergency Care unit with a telly with US Ghosts going round on a loop...

I'm not a big fan of UK Ghosts. Could never get into it.

If that's a smear most of the Tories and our Nige would be smothered.

Only Tories are allowed to have any wealth. And people with any wealth must be Tory otherwise they are champagne socialists.

Reform are just flat out hypocrites.

Absolutely pissing down here, got soaked walking across Sainsbury's car park. Was meant to be grey with intermittent showers.

Oh, I was just there! Who knows , maybe we met next to the Woke food aisle?

I confess I lingered over the Ramadan offers. I got 2 packs of Bombay mix, a big bag of mixed nuts and 2 cans of alfonse mango pulp. I guess that means I am obligated to vote Green at the next election.

Grin

I bought white bread, cereal, Bernard Matthews escalopes and dried pasta. I imagine this might confuse algorithms.

The Ramadan special Palestinian dates in Morrisons are amazing. The world food section in my local one is outstanding for cheap spices and pulses and some rather good instant chai.
Have I become a Green without realising? That’s a bit of a blow as I can’t be doing with Polanski’s populist shtick.

I got the chilli and lime version.

I love that aisle for spices and strange drinks 😅

Re other stuff I’ve just caught up with:
sunny here with the occasional quick shower
Small Prophets is on my list
Tradies often own more than one property don't they? What with having the skills and contacts to buy cheap and do up.

Today’s order of business is to get to grips with my new iPad which is huge and explicitly for music - I need to copy the annotations from my choir paper copies across to the electronic ones. Band music isn’t on there yet as I’ve determined the quickest way will be to scan the paper copies on at rehearsal next week as that way I’ll keep the annotations and avoid having to separate my part out from a whole band pdf. I’m oddly excited about it.

I got hot and luxury. I get most of my spices in that aisle. Way cheaper than the little jars and we cook with spices a lot. Stocking up on mango pulp for making mango and coconut ice cream when it finally gets warm.

Since Brexit the spread of foods available generally has plummeted. I feel very much like I did when growing up.

Mango and coconut ice cream. Mmmmmmmmmm 🥰

PickAChew · 28/02/2026 12:13

I've just been for a lovely walk through the local nature reserve, clearing out all the wild pokemon that have taken up residence so they don't threaten native species. It's a slippery slope. I'll be joining a mosque and selling drugs by this time next week.

RafaistheKingofClay · 28/02/2026 12:44

No Ramadan specials here. Might have to go to the Middle Eastern supermarket for that.

Will also need popcorn for this between Farage and Lowe:

cardibach · 28/02/2026 12:47

@RafaistheKingofClay I live in an area with a large Muslim population - I assume the local supermarkets are doing a capitalism by cashing in on it, and I’m not mad about it!

Can I have the recipe, please? The family vegan will worship at my feet if I make it.

Has anyone here watched Small Prophets? Absolutely loved it.

It's brilliant. I can highly recommend "can you keep a secret?" as well.

@BIossomtoes it's very easy. I have to get the condensed coconut milk from eBay though. I bought a pack of 6 tins last time as I end up making this a few times over a summer and it works out a lot cheaper.

I don’t have (or need, just to be clear I’m not scamming!) a TV licence - but did inherit a TV last year I use now and again to watch stuff - I am getting tempted now to break my determination never to have one again, previously only missing Attenborough (and currently Lord of the Flies as it’s my grandson’s GCSE book)

I’ve read the recipe and I’m a bit confused. It says empty the coconut milk, keep the solids and throw away the liquid. I find it’s about 50/50 whether coconut milk in the tin has separated like that. What do you do if it hasn’t?
