Provocative quote in lieu of catty tax

Thanks for the new thread. Very stupid cat tax attached, and that is purely descriptive when it comes to this particular cat.

Thanks for the new thread @DuncinToffee.
Since we are all on a daily learning curve. I offer you as tax a picture of a Clanger skeleton. You never know when you might be called upon to identify one. 🤣

Happy bagel for tax, because most things are made more jolly by adding googly eyes.

Thanks for the new thread. Please to say I got the last post in the last thread!

Here's Princess Betty on her special pillowcase. Courtesy of DS1 who is totally and utterly obsessed with her.

Thanks for the new thread. For tax I've taken a progress shot of my crewelwork. This is a continual learning experience for me, just not so much of facts at this stage.

Thank you for the new thread @DuncinToffee. Tax in its usual form.

Badenoch, Farage, Patel all openly support Trump on this

We stop US from using UK airbases, Trump u-turns on Chagos.

That's beautiful @PickAChew

We stop US from using UK airbases, Trump u-turns on Chagos.

Well at least he hasn't threatened to invade us.

Yet.

Anyway, how come if he is so bigly and the US so powerful they need to ask in the first place ? I guess it's because they know who's boss.

Badenoch, Farage, Patel all openly support Trump on this

Why do they hate Britain ?

SerendipityJane · 19/02/2026 17:23

Right wingers desperate to curry favour with their overlord once again.
Sovereignty counts for very little for Brexiteers it seems.

But as I understand it the government are yet to give permission - on basis we'd be in breach of international law.

Have the Brexiteers released information about what will happen after their attack? Surely that is as if not more important than the attack itself?

PandoraSocks · 19/02/2026 17:34

Thanks as ever @DuncinToffee . We seemed to zip through the last thread. Pothole tax from me.

Christian Calgie is suggesting that it was Ian Duncan Smith who whispered in Trump's ear about Chagos

Well, Farage won't like being ousted as chief snitch. But IDS was in DC last week. They'd both offer up the whole of the UK as an airbase for Trump.

Either way I want to know what is the plan post attack. What will we do to support Iranian women and children in the aftermath? Bombing seems like the easy bit, establishing & holding the peace is what will count.

Raven08 · 19/02/2026 18:06

I would urge all of you to read "Prisoners of Geography" by Tim Marshall.

Raven08 · 19/02/2026 18:12

Is anyone getting fed up of the news saying the Kings brother being arrested is "unprecedented"?
Haven't they heard of the Plantagenets!?

In my world Starmer would refuse to assist until a full and public apology to the NATO war dead from Trump.

Let Reform et al try to spin that, as Starmers appoval rating rockets

Thanks for the new thread. Dog tax in this instance. Meet Cruffin, an absolute princess who objects strongly to anyone fussing any other dog in her presence. (The home is having a baked goods moment, naming wise. We have a Bagel, a Cookie and a Jam too).

Surely our role is to take instructions, not to give them.
