Things you're holding off buying because you don't know if they're worth it

I've been holding off buying a hand held steam cleaner (I have a chronic pain condition so if it helps make cleaning physically easier, great!) as I'm not sure if they're as good as the Tiktok reviews I keep seeing say they are. I thought Mumsnet would be good to ask as everyone is very honest on here, and then I thought maybe a thread where we post the thing we're unsure of so others can say yeah actually that's decent, buy it-or not-might be a good idea?

Anyone using a steam cleaner, are they decent? Anyone else got things they're unsure if they're worth the cost that they'd like an opinion on?

Ninja Slushi. well worth it and look in the discount section for extra money off the slushi xl. Unless you want the bigger one, this is the one to go for IMO as it auto sets itself. If you can't get the extra discount to work phone them. it happened to me and I was told to make the order then when it arrived to phone agaon and they would give me a refund of the discount amount. I did and they did. I received the refund before I had made my first slush. Get a support ticket number.

another breadmaker fan. I don't use it frequently but love the bread.

Olaplex has saved my dry brittle hair! I now use the bonding oil and bond smoother every time I wash my hair and they have made such a difference. I also used shampoo and conditioner that came in a set and they were great too. Didn’t use the other things in the set though and can’t remember what they were!

Bought a very expensive kettle trying to find a quiet , long lasting one ( cannot remember the brand). It is fairly noisy but the worst thing is opening the lid to refill if it is hot. It should have a release button. When I looked at reviews it was a common issue.

I have a Dyson dryer but my DD procured it as her hair is long and thick . She can get a nice smooth bob with minimal heat so she loves it. Very quick and lightweight

Bread maker - love it
Air Fryer - got a two drawer one . DS uses it most
Soup maker - love it. I bought one with a saute plate but I like to roast and freeze things like onion, sofritto, leftover roast potatoes. If I have a load of carrots to use up then I roast when the oven is already on, soup is much nicer
Robot vacuum - it is pretty 'meh' but I relocated it to hard floor downstairs

I have a hand held steamer , it's good for random items that need ironed when I can't be doing with getting the iron/ironing board out
Streamer/ mop. I used the steamer bit for my guinea pigs cage as safer for them.
Now I have cats I know the floor is safe but I do use a mop more as the steamer head is too big for fiddly spaces

I wouldn't use:
An all singing and dancing coffee maker. Even a teeny Nespresso was a big disappointment in a hotel

Ninja Ceramic/ Ninja Smoothie. I'd use it once and that would be it

I need to get rid of the carpet shampooer , it squooshes the water out but never sucks it back . We've taken it apart to clean filters etc. Ended up taking the carpet up as it was ruined by the shampooer
