Is your pet getting a Christmas present?

Maggie the dog has a Christmas bandana on, and I've just wrapped up a(nother) soft toy.

I couldn't leave her out, big softie that I am.

Does your pet get gifts?

Of course and he has his Christmas bandana ready for tomorrow

Paisleybuddy · 24/12/2025 17:10

No, but will get some turkey.

yorkshiretoffee · 24/12/2025 17:11

Yes. He buys us presents as well.

My dog and my foster both have stockings, and also have wrapped presents from dhs work which were given to them during secret Santa

DisplayPurposesOnly · 24/12/2025 17:15

My mum's cat has enjoyed his advent calendar.

hattie43 · 24/12/2025 17:16

Yes both my two have stockings under the tree and they’ve each had a big sirloin for tea . Tomorrow they’ll share in the family meal of turkey and beef and I know my mum has got them a present each aswell .

My herd of guinea pigs all have a lovely fresh clean cage with two new hideys. They will also be spoiled rotten with extra veggies and peelings today and tomorrow.

To those (adorable) greedy little spuds, extra veggies will have them living their best lives all day.

My children did want to buy them little festive hats… sadly the guineas absolutely would not cooperate with being dressed up in any way shape or form. They’re super tame and love their cuddles, but they definitely have their limits!

BillieWiper · 24/12/2025 17:16

They're getting a pack of licky licks to share! 🤣

UxmalFan · 24/12/2025 17:16

No. Every day is Christmas for my cats.

TinselTitts · 24/12/2025 17:17

Oh gosh yes, we have two dogs and they've been spoiled by me, DH and our 3 adult DC 🤣

A new blanket each, toys and so many chewy bones!

TeenLifeMum · 24/12/2025 17:18

Yes - wrapped gift from us and another from the grandparents.

MaarvaCarassi · 24/12/2025 17:20

I love this thread 🙂.

One Christmas my eldest son gave them a card with a tenner in it! 🤣🤣

soccermum10 · 24/12/2025 17:22

Yes, every year I buy the family pets. This year our cat has two toys and some treats in her stocking and an igloo bed 😻 She also gets some of the chicken for her dinner too. My mums budgie has a wooden toy that he can sharpen his beak and claws on and some treats. MIL's dog was sadly put down in September. I usually buy him some dental sticks, treats, a toy and he gets the legs off the chicken also. Feels strange not buying for him this year 😔

Catnapsallday · 24/12/2025 17:23

My DD always gets a cute new bandana for her lovely black Labrador, and a bag of treats.
My 4 feline beauties get each a catnip "pillow" to chew on, and some treats!

The guinea-pigs were delighted to sit on a festive blanket wearing hats to get the Christmas vegetable offcuts

The cats will have nothing to do with such malarky and exploitation and think the piggies were simple souls to be fobbed off with a brussel sprout or two. They have chicken.

Myfridgeiscool · 24/12/2025 17:30

DDog has new toys, some more balls (she gets through loads) and a bone decoration to put on the tree.

FestiveBauble · 24/12/2025 17:31

Of course! They did find them the other day (darn catnip scent) but they’re wrapped and will be under the tree tomorrow - along with stockings 😂

justmyluck1234 · 24/12/2025 17:33

Yes she’s got a new toy

Getting guinea-pigs to wear hats is an art !
We had a little knitted hat for one of our boys and some Santa hats which were bottle cap decorations ) , for the girls . ( Boy was fuzzy so the knitted one sat better )
Trying to get them lined up/ heads still/ keep the hats on ....not easy ( I have photos somewhere !) Xmas Grin

Yes, we have dogs and they all get a stocking with toys and treats. They had a massive advent calendar between them this year too as I managed to get hold of the pets at home one. They’ll also get their own Christmas dinner.

HereforonedayonlytoavoidStrangerThingsspoilers · 24/12/2025 17:35

Of course! It's our dog's second Christmas and she's getting two soft toys and some of her favourite chews. I'm looking forward to seeing her reaction – one toy is to replace a beloved one she ripped apart – more than anyone else's!

66babe · 24/12/2025 17:39

My cat has a present and I’m a very lucky mum as I have a lovely candle to open from him too !

ShodAndShadySenators · 24/12/2025 17:39

We have four stockings in our house as I bought an extra one for the cat years ago. I only used it once for her, she was thoroughly underwhelmed so I've never repeated it I use the spare as a stooge stocking to check I've got the right amount of items for the real players...

She'll get nice scraps and a Lick-e-Lix anyway, she's not missing out!
