Just horrendous. There was a big Jewish gathering on the beach. Jewish festival goers targeted by two gunmen. At least ten people dead according to police.

Apologies - I absolutely wasn't intending to be dismissive of your parents genuine and completely understandable fears. I thought the poster had misunderstood the locations of today's terrorist attack. Everyone I know has been frightened for years. This is a nightmare.

Of course it is. It is literally written into Hamas' charter. The destruction of Israel and then murder of Jews across the globe.

If there was a two state solution enacted OR if Israel gave Arabs full civil rights in a greater Israel, then the problem might go away.
But any honest broker can not maintain that Israel is blameless and the conflation of a Jewish state with the Jewish people does not help your cause.

Theyve been offered a 2 state solution multiple times. The Oslo accord, the Camp David and Taba summits, Olmert's 2008 proposal. It's always been refused by the Palestinians. They don't want a 2 state solution.

Did you ever go on any marches or demonstrations and chant "From the river to the sea..." or "Globalise the Intifada"?

If you did, then what you called for is starting to happen.

That you cannot see the link between your calls to "globalise the Intifada" and what happened today is rather quite worrying.

It depends what you read as "they" here. All the marchers? No. Many of the organisers? Yes; they haven't even made a secret of it (see my earlier post on this).

CNN India's news 18 chanel has stated Identity of one of the terrorists in the attack as Naveed Akram although this is not confirmed by the BBC.
It is also stated in the Jerusalem Post as being him and that he studied at Queensland University.

The "they" was the Israeli government as much as the Palestinians.

Please learn the difference between "Muslims" and "radical Islam." They are not the same thing at all, and it's racist of you to assume they are.

I remember the antisematic slurs shouted at this ralley and being shocked they were shouting 'G*s The Jews" and arrested the Jewish counter-protester(the only arrest).

I think the better term is ‘Islamism’.

But Farage and his ilk (Reform, BNP, EDL) hate Jewish people. Farage himself is said to have targeted Jewish people when he was 15 or 16. And they also hate Muslims which by the sound of it was the hero that disarmed one of the gunmen. So these groups aren’t really in a position to be having much of an opinion at all on this.

It suits Farage to hate Muslims more than Jews these days.

Maybe; but I fear that any term with "Islam" in it will trigger automatic "We mustn't be horrid about Muslims" reponse, when Muslims per se are not the problem. It allows the perverse goals of radical Islam/Islamism to advance completely unchecked.
