Just horrendous. There was a big Jewish gathering on the beach. Jewish festival goers targeted by two gunmen. At least ten people dead according to police.

3 gunmen. Officials have not formally confirmed the existence of the third but there were 2 wearing all black on the bridge (clearly seen together in footage and referred to by eye witnesses) and the one disarmed by the hero Mr Ahmed who wore white trousers.

I am watching the BBC. They are showing the two men with weapons, shooting innocent people on the beach.
It's truly distressing.

Because radical Islam poses the same threat as the old fascisms we know all too well from history, but cannot even be discussed because of the fear of Islamophobia - if we learned anything from the past century, it is that racism is always wrong.

In my view, not understanding the difference between Islam and radical Islam is itself a form of racism, and a very dangerous one. For one thing, this ignorance conflates all branches of the world's second-largest religion as though they all mean the same thing.

More importantly, for the state of the world right now, including the UK, it gives a free pass to malevolent forces that literally have as their goal the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people, and permits so-called "liberals" to respond to such atrocities with "Yes, but..."
