Just horrendous. There was a big Jewish gathering on the beach. Jewish festival goers targeted by two gunmen. At least ten people dead according to police.

Here is a post referencing statistics in Australia. Jews there are not feeling protected. This is a very real problem, which resulted in at least 12 murders today. To call it 'bullshit' is highly disrespectful and vile.

I suggest you reflect on that and apologise.

https://bod.org.uk/bod-news/global-jewish-leaders-australias-antisemitism-spike-is-a-warning-for-democracies-worldwide/

Maybe you should actually be in Australia, and see the coverage this has had - nonstop for more than five hours - and the outpouring of horror and support for the victims and the Jewish community from the public, the press, the premier, and the prime minister. Maybe you should be in Sydney and see the extraordinary police presence in Bondi, the bomb squad, the join task force formed to investigate this, the police chief's repeated insistence that the police will do everything in their power to ensure the Jewish community are safe.

Your continued attacks are in extremely poor taste.

I am an Australian from Bondi beach. One of my best life moments is walking with my pram up and down on Bondi beach daily. It is magical.

What also breaks my heart is that most people live in small ish apartments, so to avoid cabin fever with little kids, many venture out to the beach at sunset, to catch up with friends, and to watch the sun go down. Sun sets just before 7pm now, the shooters started shooting at 6.40pm.

To target a place full of families, and on the busiest time of the week is just beyond horrendous.

They are so full of racist hate. They don't care.
❤️

The hero who grabbed the gun has been named. I'd read rumours he was an off-duty police officer but it turns out he is a fruit shop owner! His name is Ahmed al Ahmed.

Excellent man.

This is why I urge people to understand the difference between "Muslim" and "radical Islam". It's like knowing the difference between Gandhi and Charles Manson.

Ignoring the voices of the Jewish community, especially the Australian Jewish community, in this circumstance is horrific.

The coverage is meaningless quite frankly. Australia has done nothing to protect her Jewish community, despite repeated calls from Australian Jews. Today's terrorist attack was a direct result of this.

Yes, absolutely. Radical Islam is a perversion of Islam.

FeralWoman · 14/12/2025 12:43

Houses have been raided, one man handcuffed and put into a police car, and two women being escorted away by the police.

The bomb squad have removed IEDs in their mobile bomb disposal trailer.

Police are at Bondi with two BearCats. They’re heavily armoured military style vehicles that are used by anti terrorism police, riot police and special operations police (like Aussie SWAT).

I haven't got a clue what Raise the Colours is. Does it change the bravery of the man wrestling the gun away in the middle of a terrorist shooting in any way?

Utterly ridiculous to take issue with the link and not the event it is portraying.

Raise the colours is a racist hate group. They've also labelled the man as a 'patriot' which is a bullshit co-opted term by the racist folk. He might hate Australia, or not even be Australian. Fucking imbeciles.

Let's not allow discussion of this awful incident to descend into Islamophobia and hate.

Let's focus on how we can support the Jewish community.

Fear of radical Islam is not hate, as ordinary Muslims would know.

EmpressOfTheThread · 14/12/2025 12:45

Yom Kippur and Hanukkah have been targeted.
Jewish people must be fearful of celebrating their cultural and religious events.
Which is terrible.

shanononon · 14/12/2025 12:45

The brave and capable member of the public who tackled the terrorist 😱What ifpolice had mistaken him for the attacker? Ver brave. Hope he gets rewarded in a meaningful way and get support for PTSD.

How normalised islamist terrorism has become. I feel for all Jewish communities around the world 💔

My Jewish parents are in Melbourne. I have had three (and counting) phone calls with them today. They were at a Chanukah party themselves when the news started filtering through all the community channels. They are currently home, with their security systems set. I am afraid they agree with @TheTamerShrew 100%. They have been openly angry and despairing at the failure of the Albanese government to do anything more than pay mealy-mouthed lip service in support of the Jewish community.

Oh, this is TERRIBLE!

And a shooting today at Brown University in the US, too - at least 2 dead and 9 injured.

What the FUCK is WRONG with these people? Are they crazy or are they just evil?

Not people. What is wrong with these men. Women don't do this. They're men.

not shocking- we as a community know this is going to continue to happen as long as the west recognises Palestine, exits the Eurovision- and generally continues to send a message of poor Islam bad Judaism.

Yep. Somewhere in the next few days an unrelated, innocent Muslim person will be targeted in “retaliation”…then there’ll be another antisemitic incident…and so on…and so forth…

TheTamerShrew · 14/12/2025 12:48

In the same way as post school shooting, the victims did not want 'thoughts and prayers' but real action, the Jewish community wants the same.

There needs to be real action taken to stop weekly hate marches, Anti-Semitism, and tackle Islamists.

Australian Jews have been warning about how bad the situation is for a long time. It is time to start listening.

Donating to the Community Security Trust helps to provide security for British Jews, if anyone wants to do something to help. You could also write to your MP to request the banning of hate marches and tackling of Anti-Semitism.

Might be worth visiting their page just to find out what they think of the patriot being called Ahmed Al Ahmed

So? What's your point?
This poster's Jewish parents have no right to be fearful?
