Anecdote about wanking off three men in a random wood in Edinburgh or something. Everyone laughed hysterically.

Is it just me or have TV chat shows gone really downhill? Confused

when was this?

Suntree32 · 28/11/2025 23:23

I was trying to watch due to loving Alexander Skarsgard, but had to turn it off!

PuppyMonkey · 28/11/2025 23:23

When? About five minutes ago.

Bored of her now

She was funny when paired with Phil and Holly

MidnightColours · 28/11/2025 23:24

I admire her, but she's told that story a few times now.

PuppyMonkey · 28/11/2025 23:26

I think I’ve spelled her name wrong but whatever.

YouTube her old appearances on Norton. I remember her telling a story about, I quote, “creaming herself” or something.
Every time she is in that show, she turns the chat towards that stuff.

MidnightColours · 28/11/2025 23:27

I have to say, don't watch Graham Norton anymore, celebs taking turns to tell all these contrived stories one after the other really does get boring. Plus, I always found he gave the (often lone) woman much less air time than the men, but maybe I made that up!

ProfessorBinturong · 28/11/2025 23:31

Three men in a wood? It used to be 1 man in a tree. That must have lost its shock value.

AgentPidge · 28/11/2025 23:31

Miriam gave a great eye-roll when Glenn Close said it's in her contract that she keeps all her costumes.

cardibach · 28/11/2025 23:32

I can’t bear her. She thinks she’s so shocking being a sexually active lesbian, but the world has moved on. Nobody cares. Vile.

Absolutely

ThisCanHappen · 28/11/2025 23:35

She's so funny and outrageous, if you like that sort of 'humour', which I don't.

GumFossil · 28/11/2025 23:35

As soon as we saw she was a guest, we switched it off. She’s become a tiresome parody of herself. ‘Ooh, is she going to say something sexual and people think risqué?’ Yes. Yawn.

PuppyMonkey · 28/11/2025 23:43

I was embarrassed for the other guests having to laugh and clap as if it was the height of witty banter. And she kept interrupting the others to say a banal thing. Cringed.

She gives me the complete ick

SheinIsShite · 28/11/2025 23:52

Agree that her routine of saying fuck a lot and being rude about other people's movies and just generally obnoxious is tired and old.

She was horrid to Alexander Skarsgard about his dad being in Mamma Mia.

Cardinalita90 · 28/11/2025 23:52

I thought she bordered on rude with Alexander Skarsgard tonight, particularly around his dad's film Mamma Mia. I've seen her say that before in front of Dominic Cooper but she kept going tonight. I don't think his initial joke about sexual chemistry landed (with her) and it felt a bit off after that .

I think the old days where the show had 3 guests max worked best. The chemistry often flowed better.

Justchilling07 · 28/11/2025 23:55

@PuppyMonkey you don’t have to watch, there’s so much choice to choose from, just switch over, if you feel this way! Personally no, l don’t think tv chat shows have gone downhill.

Mistyglade · 29/11/2025 00:00

She has become a bit of a twat with the vulgar language and oh my god I’d can’t believe this posh little lady just said that routine. She’s embarrassing.

JulianFawcettMP · 29/11/2025 00:03

She revolts me. I wish she didn't but there is no need for the tedious coarseness. Used sparingly it could potentially be funny (maybe) but that's lost on her

I mean I was watching it live, I’d seen it before I could switch over.

I think she might have raised a laugh once with it but that was enough.

I am your fellow ghosts’ poem btw!

RenoDakota · 29/11/2025 00:12

Utterly repulsive woman. Have noticed recently that there are fewer and fewer comments about how 'hilarious' she is. The tide has turned and people are seeing her for what she really is. Coarse and deeply unpleasant.

I find her endearing, l’ve seen many of the chat shows she’s been in, she just makes me laugh, but yes l get it’s not to everyone’s humour.
