@MewithME I was tucked up and still am, and I aim to stay here all day! 🤣

Couldn't possibly tell you, TeaAndStrumpets.

Or you know what might happen! 🤫

LOL that's me warned off!

Morning all! Glad people have been more restful. I also slept ok.

ive got a horrible headache and the cleaner is due, she’s lovely but I’m not feeling it today so I’m hiding in the lounge with the door shut. Dh will let her in and let her know I’m not up for being cleaned around. She’s very good and understanding.

I’ve also pretty much finished shopping. I got a mila Lima (?) book from the Harper Collins TikTok shop at a very good price for my sister. It’s the interactive wizard of oz book and it just looks gorgeous.

I did my seven minutes on the exercise bike, but couldn’t manage a shower. I’ll try this evening as I’ve got physio in the morning and can’t go to that unwashed.

TeaAndStrumpets · 27/11/2025 11:59

Well done @FurForksSake that sounds pretty organised. Have a good rest.

Work was ok this morning if I ignore the email from the new twat semi Uber boss.

I'm back home , in bed, in my PJs. Yay for me. DS will walk home so I'm going to look after myself.

Hello lovely people, glad it’s a more restful day for some.
Another absolutely rubbish night here so not the best today. I did finally speak to Dr re HRT and I’m going to try a different type to see how I get on. I came off a couple of months ago as the surgery had changed the brand and I felt it didn’t suit me but my sleep and mood/ anxiety have been awful since and I think it perhaps wasn’t the right time to try and taper off whilst things aren’t great ME wise.
Had visit from MIL today which I probably could have done without but she didn’t stay too long. Sofa and heated throw time for me and dippy rescue dog who is still very barky at visitors but did eventually give a big sigh and fall asleep so that’s progress of sorts. Visitors obviously wear both of us out!
Xmas shopping almost done here too, just one thing left to get and we’ve been waiting to see if there are any Black Friday deals. I’ll let DH sort that one! I actually packed a parcel ready to send by post today. Too early to send but I had the perfect size box arrive so thought I’d re use!

Sounds like a great plan!

Thanks @TodayIsatrickyone I followed up with a nap... In fact I just couldn't stay awake

I'm in bed. I've got a singing gig tomorrow so need to be with it.
Sleep well everyone!

Good luck for your gig tomorrow! Hope you sleep well.

I took advantage of the Visible Black Friday offer and finally bought the subscription. I didn’t like the thought of the armband squeezing my arm, but the wristband option is available now and I can cope with that.

Ooh I have been looking at these!

If anyone wants to know the price without going through the whole survey, mine was coming up as £49.70 for the band (£15 discount) and £131.88 for a year's membership.

I haven't gone for it myself at the moment but I'd love to know how you find it @InMySpareTime

InMySpareTime · 28/11/2025 08:00

I’ll let you all know when the band arrives. I’ve been using the free version for ages but it’s tedious having to remember about doing the finger on the phone camera thing every day. Hoping the band will help with that.

Realisation14 · 28/11/2025 08:07

Morning everyone, how did we all sleep? Mine was crap! Today I have the school run, my son is flexi-schooled due to anxiety then taking him to his CAHM's appointment, dropping a birthday card off at social workers office to be passed along to our "ex"-foster daughter (hate that term but don't know how else to describe). Then home to tidy up and the Xmas decorations are going up this evening when my husband finishes work. DS very excited about this part.

Please universe give me enough physical energy and mental strength to complete it all!!

Swanhilde · 28/11/2025 08:41

I had a lovely time catching up with my friends last night and the food was yummy 😋 So glad I went, but I didn't get home til 10pm and my sleep was crap.

I'm off to the allotment this morning and then on to my massage. I will then crawl into bed for the rest of the day 🥱

Wishing everyone the energy to do what they need to today 💕

Morning all!

Quiet day here. Yesterday I got sucked down an internet rabbit hole with my Christmas shopping and got very frustrated because I couln't find what I wanted. When I realised it was making me feel tearful I thought it was time to stop! Obviously the PEM isn't just physical!

Hope you all have a good day.

This is SO true! Mental hard work is just as exhausting.

I find I have to properly rest my brain - so no phone, no reading. Just a lie down with my eyes closed and maybe some really chilled music.

Hope you're feeling better today and that you manage to get that shopping done. Always happy to shop vicariously if you want help!

TeaAndStrumpets · 28/11/2025 10:33

Thanks @VikingNorthUtsire appreciate the kind thought! On a good day I would be undaunted.

All I am trying to find is some 100% cotton joggers/sweatpants for a skinny tall 16 year old. Fat Face had some, now sold out. Next would be a great fit but have polyester in them. Autistic DGS has gone on an anti-plastic crusade! Very inconvenient. His crocs have gone in the bin and he wants his Mum to buy a new kettle and chopping board. His Mum says buy the Next joggers and snip out the label! (She is fed up living with an eco warrior)

So truthfully I don't HAVE to buy all cotton but I felt I should give it a go.

TodayIsatrickyone · 28/11/2025 11:25

Morning all, hope it’s an okay day for everyone. Not the best nights sleep again but I do feel brighter than yesterday so I’ll take that. It’s a bright but cold day here so my plan is to get out with the dog on the scooter for a quick walk as it’s been too wet to use it this week.

That sounds like a frustrating search @TeaAndStrumpets I think when you’re looking for something very specific online shopping can be hard work especially on a bad day! My mum always thinks she’s being helpful by giving me gift ideas but then she’ll give specifics of what she does/ doesn’t want which actually makes it harder. She asked for a pendant last year, a fine chain, not too long, she specified the length, not too big with a coloured drop in it! I found one but honestly it took a lot of searching! Then when I gave it to her, she’d totally forgotten she’d asked for it. Though she’s 85 and definitely becoming a bit vague and forgetful at times so I can understand that bit. Hope you can find a solution for your eco warrior! I’m with his mum, I’d cut out the label!

TeaAndStrumpets · 28/11/2025 11:40

Ha yes @TodayIsatrickyone I probably try too hard. I think if I'd been on top form it wouldn't be a problem as normally I enjoy researching things.

Enjoy your scooter ride!

TodayIsatrickyone · 28/11/2025 12:36

Go me I actually managed to walk not scoot!! Took my trusty perching stool but it’s about 6 weeks since I’ve managed that so I’m very happy. DH walked a bit further while I perched a bit but so lovely to get out. Resting now as got my mum visiting just for an hour later.
DD has an awful cold but is holed up in her room bless her so hoping I can avoid catching that. .

TeaAndStrumpets · 28/11/2025 13:07

Fab @TodayIsatrickyone !

FurForksSake · 28/11/2025 13:30

Remind eco warrior that it is far, far better to use things until they give up than replace them for the sake of it. That usually works!

I went to physio, he’s pleased with progress so that’s good. DH bought be a brownie from the bakery, yum!

I’ve just remembered I had chest pain in bed last night, which then made me panic and I had to try and deal with that.

super tired now, leaving the house and physio has left me totally spent.

i was going to paint some Christmas cards but not sure I’ve got the energy.
