If you're telling me the PRIME MINISTER no longer has the capabilities to defend our country then we really are in serious trouble.

Can you imagine some like Churchill having that attitude, thank god Starmer wasn't in power back then.

Ok what do you want him to do? go on, say it.

Johnson, Truss and Sunak couldn't stop the boats & neither can Starmer.

How many UK Muslims would not disagree with honosexuality being banned?

According to a prominent ICM poll conducted for a Channel 4 documentary in 2016, 52% of British Muslims did not believe that homosexuality should be legal in Britain.

That was in 2016. I wonder what the percentage is now, radical islamism is hardly decreasing in the UK is it?

How many sympathised with Hamas after the October the 7th attacks?

Recent polling data from March 2024 indicates that almost half (around 46%) of British Muslims feel sympathy with Hamas.*

And how many 'innocent' Muslims hid grooming gang members. How many defended their pedophile rapist husbands with accusations that it was the white childs fault for dressing provocatively?

How many have sat 'innocently' listening to hate preachers up and down the country. Who sit there and listen as they are told how to correctly stone a woman to death, in Birmingham.

Wake up.

My family ran from an Islamic country for a very good reason. Do you think when their voting blocks are in place you will retain your freedom? That people would be allowed to be gay? That women could vote? That nit being muslim will be allowed?

If you truly think a rapidly increasing conservative Muslim population is not a concern, then you are completely ignorant of the history of countries where this has happened.

Posters seem to believe that the mass murders aren’t the problem. It’s people having access to news to KNOW the mass murders happened that is the problem.

It's an odd take.

The most recent child I remember dying in a small boat was trampled to death by grown men trying to get on board.

Quite and what kind of parent - having escaped to a safe EU country would put their child’s life in danger in a small rubber boat to cross the busy shipping lane and rough seas of the channel. I’d stay in France ratherthan risk my child’s life like that -

Oh, and her parents have now had another baby and been granted residency and alocated a flat. I saw them on a new site with big smilie faces in their new home. They should have been put in prison for putting a kid in such danger.

I‘m more worried about uncontrollable social media than immigration.

Yes because social media kills innocent people in cold blood. The down playing on this thread is nothing short of disgusting.

Funnily enough no, he wasn't a Newcastle fan I don't think (not wearing a scarf and he had his shirt on) and also what was shouted was also not what I have heard the Toon Army shouting

Newcastle are away to West Ham tomorrow. My first thought was that it could possibly be football related.
You then go on to say "they might be "Ultra's"

This goes to show how far removed you are from reality.
Feckin Hell, the mind boggles.

To take a tough stance and defend our borders, we have a Navy you know. It's it too much to ask to keep the population safe anymore from outside threats then what is the point. These events are turning into a regular occurrence now, at what point do you say enough is enough?

AnareticDegree · 02/11/2025 09:26

Dissimilitude · 02/11/2025 09:13

People bending over backwards to somehow make it our own fault that immigrants or children of immigrants or disenfranchised people of a certain religious persuasion repeatedly try to kill us.

It’s not our fault. Most of us never asked for this or voted for it in any way shape or form. If the government doesn’t get a grip on it we will be in a very dark place where we will start voting for anyone who looks like they can.

The required grip unlikely to be happening as this is the best Starmer can do: "In a statement on X, Starmer said: “The appalling incident on a train near Huntingdon is deeply concerning. My thoughts are with all those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services for their response. Anyone in the area should follow the advice of the police.”

He can't even fake some outrage. Where is the reassurance about catching the perps and stepping up security measures in the run up to Xmas. His job is to regulate, direct and govern but he hasn't got a clue/doesn't care/will let this happen again and again and again.

Labour supporters wtf are you doing.

Well said. I was caught up in 7/7 too, it strikes me that the biggest difference between then and now is the presence now of social media and the fear / tribalism / division that it has stoked.

Surely it's the fact attacks and deaths keep happening?

Do they keep happening, though? More often than in 2005? Or are the very rare occurrences being whipped up online?

Screwdrivers will do the same damage.

My relative is an A&E doctor and she told me that many of the gangs in Liverpool are using knives and screwdrivers to stab their victims in an upwards motion in their groin area. The idea is to cause catastrophic harm (testicle/ penis removal, colostomy bag etc) but only be able to be charged with GBH.

GBH with intent has similar sentencing to murder, so there isn't much point in doing that, if the aim is to get a lesser sentence.

ThatsNotAKnife · 02/11/2025 09:27

The cause will be yet another violent, mental man.

Crimble123 · 02/11/2025 09:27

Im thinking its terror related as even the news outlets know hardly any info and the police are keeping it under tight wraps.
Why else would the news not know anything at this point?

Imdunfer · 02/11/2025 09:27

I don't think it's social media.

The biggest differences between 20 years ago and now is the population increase of predominantly legal migrants which has put intolerable strain on public services and noticeably degraded life for the people who are already here; the arrival of tens of thousands of people whose background we don't know and can't check, who are disproportionately criminal; the housing of those people in large groups (often removing even more services like group meeting venues from local people); the growth of concentrated areas of populations with radically different cultures from own, some of which are actively hostile to western values.

And the desperation of politicians not to lose votes by appearing in any way to criticise any of this.

Immigration doesn't kill people in cold blood either.

Women get murdered at a rate of approximately once every three days. The vast majority of those killings are at the hands of their relatives or partners. Racists never seem to be too bothered about those deaths.

Exactly - who would post such a thing. Maybe the nay sayers on here are part of that ideology and are seeking ti defend and deflect on here.

After all it is in some quarters a cause for celebration, the death and injury of westerners and white people. So many conveniently forget that aspect.
