What the hell is bleaching he’s hoody’s?

This has been happening for weeks and I’m baffled. No bleach has been used. No bleach in or around the machine and it’s only certain hoody’s not all. I’ve had to bin so many it’s a joke. I’ve just pulled this out of the washing machine and it’s got bleach stains, nothing else in the load has stains just this? What am I missing? Anyone had this I feel like I’m going mad! I’ve added some photos to show you what I mean.

Is it bleach on the toilet seat so when he's sat down he might lean back, doom scroll and poo a bit and then get it on the back?

GanninHyem · 31/10/2025 14:21

I have no idea how the stains are getting there but you don't need to chuck the hoodies you have. Dylon dye and they'll be good as new.

Oh just to add it’s only dh hoody’s that this happens too and there are 5 other hoody wearing humans here 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m stumped.

So that's your husband, you and four children all wear hoodies but only your husband's have these bleached bits @overstimulatedhermit What does he do differently? Are they all free different stores? It's weird!

Covacsy · 31/10/2025 20:00

Not sure if anyone else has suggested this, but does he ever flush the loo while he's still sitting on it? Perhaps there might have been toilet cleaner or bleach down there.

I’m not worried about being grammatically correct. I’m an adult if I can make out what it says then that’s enough for me.

What a low bar. I hope you’re not passing that on to your children.
He’s means “he is”.

Yes I pass that on to my kids. I tell them it’s he’s instead of his 😌

It’s really not a big deal. Some say he’s some says his we all know what we mean

But it’s just incorrect.

It's not different in a good way. It just makes you look thick. But you may be fine with that of course.

I have no idea but honestly I cannot stand it when people write he's. I'm sorry I never correct people on here usually.
The word is HIS

Thankyou..

I started to learn English at 9 in school (European country) and by 12 I'm sure we had covered the difference between his and he's. And their and they're. Obviously I might make the occasional mistake every now and again but unlike the OP my response to the person telling me is not "I don't care" but "thank you".

I’d say the difference between me and you is that you care and I don’t. I’m not here to impress strangers on the internet, I don’t feel the need to point out others spelling mistakes because quite frankly I don’t give them a second thought. I’m capable of reading mistakes and going about my life. I don’t need to point them out and make a scene because I think I am better than others that simply make an error. In other words I am not a c**t 🙂

Mine was a genuine thankyou to @Mydadsbirthday for correcting it,
because it was irritating me.

But that's just me 😁

AuntyBulgaria · 31/10/2025 21:32

Are you using bio detergent? That can bleach clothes if left too long in it. I hand washed my son's jumper once in too much biological washing powder and it looked exactly the same. Perhaps the hoody is coming into contact directly with the detergent and the machine is not rinsing it properly.

We call these The xxxx Family Mysteries.

Washing being weird.
Things going missing.
Things get moved.
Clothes are lost.
Food you thought you'd put in the freezer, not there
Etc, etc..

I doubt you're being sarcastic since you've already said numerous times how you think correct spelling isn't important and you don't care about it at all.

And there’s why spelling is important, OP.
