This has been happening for weeks and I’m baffled. No bleach has been used. No bleach in or around the machine and it’s only certain hoody’s not all. I’ve had to bin so many it’s a joke. I’ve just pulled this out of the washing machine and it’s got bleach stains, nothing else in the load has stains just this? What am I missing? Anyone had this I feel like I’m going mad! I’ve added some photos to show you what I mean.

This happens to a lot of my towels from various stores e.g. Zara Home, Next.

Can never figure out why either.

And there’s why spelling is important, OP.

🤦‍♀️

But you got what I was saying. Job done 👍🏼 well done

Someone else on here said the same thing about towels.

So you want recommendations of other kinds of washing powder? Since you can use anything else? Great, I use the Persil bio, perhaps that’ll work for you?

Well done, you just said the complete opposite of what I presume you actually meant. If you want to carry on making yourself look thick and being misunderstood that’s up to you, but that you’re so bizarrely proud of your lack of education that you actively want to saddle your kids with the same kind of disadvantage in life is bordering on abusive. Imagine a loving parent wanting to and deliberately trying to drag their children down to their level. How sad.

Actually it is a big deal, the correct word is “his” in this context. He’s is short for he is and “he is hoodies” is not a sentence.

You cannot try to convince people something is correct when it isn’t. Just accept that you are wrong.

I agree with you.
People hate admitting they're wrong where SpAG is concerned.

"He is hoody's" is even worse.

I never said I was right, I said I don’t care that it’s wrong.

I agree with the spelling police - the grammatically incorrect words in this thread are getting annoying.

Each to their own, but being able to write proper English is pretty basic life skills.

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 01/11/2025 11:45

Why "hoody's"? That implies something belongs to a single hoody.

Is it more than one hoody?

Not sure why posters think it's ok to pick on someone's spelling and grammar in this way, it's a form of bullying.

Luckily OP is perfectly able to stick up for herself.

Not everyone is though and the mob mentality drives them away.

You can definitely pick out the people that have probably been bully’s their whole lives. Anonymous forums bring them to light.

40 years of experiencing prejudice gives you a IDGAF attitude and a thick skin. They think they can shame and embarrass me when I just see them as beneath me because I’m a kind person and they are not.

Bullies love forums because they can say what they'd not say to people's faces.

I use Panoxyl soap for acne. I realised that all our flannels were getting stained as it bleaches fabrics. I stick to one very mottled flannel and towel now.

I’m not worried about being grammatically correct. I’m an adult if I can make out what it says then that’s enough for me.

@overstimulatedhermit I have a similar problem with pale blue clothing, and it doesn't seem to be confined to cheap clothes. It doesn't happen to all of them.

I'm only on page 2 and agree with the many posters who have commented on your poor command of spelling and grammar.
The errors make for painful reading.
You can understand it because you wrote it. We struggle with it because it's incoherent.

Pedant5corner · 02/11/2025 19:02

My solution was to stop buying the things that mysteriously faded.

If someone corrects me, there was a reason why they said it, and I review what they said. Usually they are right, and I've learnt from their input.
I have a thick skin but I care about communicating clearly.

Your not GAF comes across as arrogance.
