Idk what you want people to say.

It’s like mentioning that car-based societies will have some deaths associated with it. Of course it will. It’s why we have both car and gun licenses.

But do you get to laugh at people who are car crash victims?

Is that really where we are at?

I see you've borrowed Kirk's ridiculous car/gun analogy.

The motor industry is continuously learning from what has gone wrong and innovating to improve safety. Regulations are frequently reviewed and updated. Look how much safer car travel has become in the last 50 years.

Gun laws are still back in 1791.

I would rather he was alive with his mind changed than dead and a new martyr

Death by assassination is so pointless and often has the opposite effect

MLK & JFK both seen as problematic to some people both assassinated both went on to achieve world wide long lasting fame after death every word gone over and over films made about them honestly I dont remember who was the American president before him but I remember him BECAUSE he was assassinated

They just created a new modern martyr

@RingoJuice "In context of the FAA scandals, the push for DEI led to a drop in standards ..." Says who? Evidence?

Anyone who thinks theyre making some clever point by saying he supported the right to bear arms so somehow is in any way more deserving of being assassinated because he said things people disagree with, is either a total idiot or being completely disingenuous.

It’s not that he deserved being assassinated. No one does. It’s not even his gun control stance overall. It’s that he said it’s worth the cost of having some gun deaths in order to keep the right to bear arms. That statement should apply to him too.

Exactly how I feel. They’re more upset by Kirk than the 47th school shooting this year. 46 of those are ones they never cared to take action on.

Maybe question why? Any shooting is terrible, a pointless snufing out of that most sacred thing - life.

On top of that though, the assassination of Charlie Kirk is an attack of those other sacred things, the freedom of speech and therefore democracy itself. Both established enemies of the far Left. America currently has an assassin on the loose who thinks it’s perfectly ok to assassinate people for their beliefs in front of their two young children.

Worldwide2 · 11/09/2025 06:38

It is still just a view point which come from his religious beliefs. There are many ppl that live in this country who treat their daughters as commodities and women in general as second class citizens who have no right in even choosing who they marry. Yet they are not shot at. No one cares. Charlie Kirk didn't deserve to die and its absolutely disgusting to see people think that it's ok.

I never said I think it’s okay. I think it’s disgusting and a terrifying sign of American society falling to pieces. But that doesn’t mean I’ll suddenly pull some revisionist shit and think his beliefs were okay.

My issue is the rank hypocrisy. They all justify school shootings, until it happens to someone on their side. Two democrat lawmakers were killed in their beds and they didn’t care.

Never heard of him, don't care about him in the slightest.

and yet here you are, proactively choosing to post on a forum about him.

RingoJuice · 11/09/2025 06:42

IGaveSoManySigns · 11/09/2025 06:33

Keep in mind that one of those children is his young daughter, who he said he’d force to give birth if she was raped. He cared less about his daughter than his misogynistic ideology.

He’s obviously loved and cared for his daughter.

He would make a different choice than you or I.

As a Christian, he sees the child as part of his daughter and worthy of saving and raising to be a credit to humanity.

As a non-Christian, I could never raise what I’d see as the enemy.

This is the kind of hateful rhetoric towards Kirk I’m talking about tho, just so undeserving.

He was likely asked about what he would do if his daughter was raped and pregnant at 10. He gave an honest answer.

It was based on a real case in Ohio, where an illegal immigrant raped a 10-year-old (the daughter of his live-in girlfriend) and her shitty mother tried to quietly get her an abortion to protect her POS pedo boyfriend.

I suppose there must be a certain comfort to be found in such wilful ignorance.

Should a country that vociferously promotes and defends the right to excessive firearms ownership really be surprised when people with divisive rhetoric get shot as well as multiple innocent children.

I’m not suggesting he should have been shot - I condemn it like most other people and feel for his heartbroken young family but couldn’t we all see something like this coming?

Trump should work to calm down the rhetoric in his country instead of stoking it. He bears a lot of responsibility for the current dysfunction in his country

YourGladSquid · 11/09/2025 06:43

He promoted dialogue and debate on issues where society was already divided.

Sure he did.

Outside of the US he was irrelevant though, it’s not wilful ignorance. No one knows every single personality of every single country.

That’s not quite true though, is it? And in any event, his death doesn’t mean I now have to look back and go “yeah, it came from a place of love”. Saying you’d force your ten year old child to go through childbirth is not an act of love. I feel for his wife and children, of course I do. But it doesn’t mean I suddenly think he’s an amazing man.

Do you travel by car? Do you think the freedom to do so should be curtailed because many people die in car related deaths each year? If you die in a car crash should we just shrug and say your acceptance of the pay off between the benefit of having a car against car related deaths means your death should just me accepted?

This is so much bigger than an individual The assassination is an attempt to silence freedom of speech through fear and is an attack on democracy itself.

So much hypocrisy! 'The left don't care about freedom of speech and democracy', says the supporter of a President who bans journalists from his press briefings for asking difficult questions and incited a riot on the Capitol when they lost an election.

OldOrMaybeNotThatOld · 11/09/2025 06:46

Ironically the only thing that can stop a person with a gun is a gun. The very liberals crying out for a gun free society are the people doing the fucking shooting.

I live in a country where I have to have a gun for my own safety.

I think it is a crying shame that there are two groups of people who think differently and the solution to override the thoughts of one of them is for the other to silence them via death.

I didnt agree with everything Charlie Kirk said, but it was plain to see that he was a man who lived by his values and spoke his truth much like the other side do given a platform. If his truth offended people then people should grow thicker skins before resorting to death.

What did you think of his comments about black pilots?

I don’t know about black pilots. But anyone who worried that black air traffic controllers in the US are less capable than white ones would be on absolutely rock-solid grounds to worry. And both are FAA regulated.

This relates to a specific scandal at the FAA whereby they introduced a new ‘biographical questionnaire’ for ATC hiring specifically because black candidates were not passing the previous admissions tests at rates deemed high enough. That’s not the scandalous bit. They awarded high marks for specific answers (like saying maths and science were not your strong subject at school) that make no sense if you want to hire on competency but do want to hire a specific demographic, or who have been given the answer key, then gave the answer key to their black officers association to share only with black candidates..

Show me some hate speech of his. I've only ever seen mostly rational discussion and opposing views on a number of topics.

I hate the term being bandied about. It becomes a justification for actual violence.

It doesnt matter whether someone is high profile or not. Death is unavoidable but still a tragedy for those around them.

Google Charli Kirk hate speech. Om.mot your employee

Quite. They also search your phone at the US border now to make sure you’re not posting anti-Trump content. But they care for freedom of speech (just only when that speech is hateful£
