Both me and DH have been affected and just checked and both our products are those batch numbers! I've filled out the form online so will see if they do anything.

Frannieisnthappy · 08/09/2025 21:07

So pleased I saw this. Also had sore itchy pits and was moaning to my daughter that it was the lidl razors! Sorry Lidl

Sleepygrumpyandnothappy · 08/09/2025 21:10

Another one affected here. I thought my lasered pits had reacted to the sun. It’s been agony.

jettisoned · 08/09/2025 21:11

Another with burns, the nurse said they looked like chemical burns. Not the temporary irritation they've tried to minimise with. Couldn't swim during the holidays and they looked absolutely awful, not to mention how painful it was. I'm upset they seem to have dismissed previous people telling them of issues, they should have recalled as soon as they were aware.

RatCatBat · 08/09/2025 21:11

Holy shit, I was wondering why my armpits were burning, I assumed it was perimenopause or something fucking with my skin. It was really painful.

I kept switching my shower gel, fabric softener, deodorant, got a new bra thinking it was my sports bra.

Catterbat · 08/09/2025 21:12

Yep, just checked the batch number and it’s the one I have. I have been itching and burning for weeks! Had no idea what was causing it.

RubiesandRose · 08/09/2025 21:14

just checked and my deodorant is one of the batch numbers. I’ve had a really sore raised rash twice now that only went down after a couple of days of antihistamines. It’s still slightly itchy, so I’ve completed the form and will use my sure deodorant going forward.

Where2GoNext · 08/09/2025 21:16

Another one with horrendously sore pits that only started to heal once I stopped using Mitchum. Can't believe how much it's taken for them to admit there was a problem Angry

Chick981 · 08/09/2025 21:21

Omg I had this, arms only just recovered. I started a thread on it.

EffinMagicFairy · 08/09/2025 21:33

Thank you for sharing this, DD had very sore arm pits back in June, she still has the deodorant and it is one of the affected batches, we have filled in the on line form.

MondayBluesAreBack · 08/09/2025 21:37

My armpits are sore and itchy. I’ve taken photos to send to Mitchum. I bet I will get a voucher for another one. Not impressed it’s taken them a long time to recall the products. Think I will stick to using Sure.

Goatalone · 08/09/2025 21:56

I use Mitchum but thankfully haven’t been affected. I’m so angry about this though. The way people have been injured - and then dismissed.
What exactly are they doing about it?

Yeoldlondoncheese · 08/09/2025 21:59

People have been having issues for over a year but it’s really only this past week the story has gained momentum on Tiktok with so many posting - some ranging from mild irritations to what looked like chemical burns. Mitchum’s initail response was not great, on Tiktok deleting comments from their page, then removed all their videos. Lots then started talking about a class action which is why they maybe decided to look into it properly!

This is bad. I suspected that Mitchum was too full of chemicals that leech into the body. I can’t understand why deodorant needs to last more than 24 hours?

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 08/09/2025 22:01

Ahhh ha! So this explains my recent crazy experience with sore armpits directly before my period and literally after I shaved in the shower? I couldn't figure out if it was a shaving rash or fungal armpit infection or something, but now it's more likely to be this.

THANK YOU OP! I've been driving myself mad with itchy armpits for the past few weeks 😒

What is the batch number please?

What is the batch number please?

Just seen them, sorry lol

SpringIsSprung1 · 08/09/2025 22:08

18 months I've had itchy armpits!!! Always used Mitchum so didn't suspect it.

Only a couple of weeks ago, decided to use Sure roll on instead, the relief after only a few days. Unfortunately I threw my old Mitchum roll on away.

ExitPursuedByABare · 08/09/2025 22:09

Phew

Shutupkeith · 08/09/2025 22:17

OMG this is me - I have excoriated raw skin to my armpits and wondered what the hell was wrong with me.

Cottaging · 08/09/2025 22:19

How interesting. After decades of loyal use, I just sort of went off it a year ago. Blamed the menopause!
Don't remember any itching or burns just didn't feel motivated to use it.
I've been borrowing DH's , going without and finally cracked last week and bought another brand.

ilovebagpuss · 08/09/2025 22:21

Well flipping eck! I thought I was just fat and sweaty and had some sort of fungal thing. I have been using that batch number and have had such sore infected (one side) arm pit all summer!
Never ever had any such issues before and always use Mitchum.
That's it now chucking that for good.

sassyduck · 08/09/2025 22:25

OP, thank you for posting! I thought it was just me.

Shutupkeith · 08/09/2025 22:26

I used this whilst on holiday in Sri-Lanka and thought I had somehow burnt my armpits. The pain was so bad, my skin cracked and my husband had to help me dress as I could not raise my arms as the skin just kept cracking. Shocked and disgusted to find out it was the deodorant.

Tatapie · 08/09/2025 22:36

Omg! I’ve had this for weeks now but bizarrely only 1 armpit!! Thought I’d cut myself with a razor or something then got an infection or had a fungal infection. So itchy! Have filled in the form.
