Ageing neck - what do you use?

Sussexswain · 20/08/2025 16:58

I recently turned 40 and from about 39 I started noticing that my neck was ageing faster than anywhere else on my body. For a year I have been using the following and see no difference

  • this works - perfect cleavage and neck serum
  • beauty pie - uber youth neck and chest serum
  • elevate collagen - for three months bow

any other products that people have found that really work?

Bloody big bull clip 'round the back!

Prai didn’t do a thing for my turkey. Caster oil is my current plan. 3 weeks in and it’s not as saggy.

Katykaty11 · 20/08/2025 21:46

Currently using Trinny Elevator and think it's helping. Tried others including Prai and no improvement.

TheChosenTwo · 20/08/2025 21:47

Sounds like there’s no miracle cure.
which is disappointing as I’ve lost a lot of weight and seem to have developed a bit of a wattle (that flappy bit around a chickens neck 😂) that I idly wonder what I could do about.
Ive always been quite good about using spf on my face and neck, I think it’s the combination of loss and lack of muscles used in my neck!
Shame, I was considering some of the Trinny stuff as I too have been spammed on Instagram.

IAmQuiteNiceActually · 20/08/2025 21:47

I use a bit of tret/acelaic acid/Niacinamide and loads of Aveeno. Best to get something cheap so that you can put loads on. I also use factor 50 every day.

I'm 52, neck looks as it always did as long as I don't move :). If I look down into a mirror it looks hideous.

Using a tens machine on a low setting on neck and jawline less than £30 and very similar to expensivevtreatments - you can also use it for pain relief which also goes hand in hand with getting older

Gosh, I haven't used one of those in years but I think I still have one somewhere?!
May I ask what your regime is please?

Itstheshowgirl · 20/08/2025 21:54

I’ve been using a Gua Sha (not sure if that’s spelled right) for a few weeks now along with TikTok tutorials and have seen a difference in a very deep neck line that has been bugging me for ages.

Pinkfreedom · 20/08/2025 21:55

OP if you are worried about the initial investment then M&S did sell small pots of the prai neck creams, online only I think.

Happyher · 20/08/2025 21:58

I use no 7 restore and renew face and neck serum in the morning and at night. I used Clinique cleansing bar to wash my face and neck. L’Oréal hyaluron expert both day and night cream and also Nivea Q10 body firming lotion for over 60’s skin.

ive also tightened it doing arm exercises at the gym. I’m 66 with no wrinkles.

No wrinkles at 65? Do you mean no lines?

Medical grade tape DIY necklift. Looks so amazing I wanted to cry when I took it off.

That’s what Jane Seymour does.

Eyesopenwideawake · 20/08/2025 22:01

Surgery. Or a dazzling smile. Whichever comes easier and cheaper.

I read that a lot of older Hollywood stars used tape for their neck and along the jaw line. And it works!

Gloria Hungerford does this she said on loose women ages ago, are you Gloria 🤔 😀

Edited to say it might have been string and tape.

I'm not confirming or denying who I am. I've overshared quite enough already for one thread.😂

Obagi growth serum is very good. I’ve been using it for a couple of months on my neck and see a definite difference. I’m going to invest in their aggressive anti aging box set I think.

Disturbia81 · 20/08/2025 22:17

You are young for that, have you always been a sun lover and/or smoker?

Jibberjabba · 20/08/2025 22:19

just bought the ziip halo

I opened this thread thinking I’d find a cure for chronic neck pain. Give it another 10 years OP!

Top tip - put your phone away and walk tall.
Driving DD to school one day she suddenly said “OMG there’s a headless woman”!!
A elderly lady was walking along, her head at right angles to her neck, so from behind all one could see was a coat with a high stiff collar walking along.
No doubt she had osteoporosis but I think of her if I’m walking along and look at my phone and put it away.
