Ageing neck - what do you use?

I recently turned 40 and from about 39 I started noticing that my neck was ageing faster than anywhere else on my body. For a year I have been using the following and see no difference

  • this works - perfect cleavage and neck serum
  • beauty pie - uber youth neck and chest serum
  • elevate collagen - for three months bow

any other products that people have found that really work?

Sadie nardini face hitt yoga and massage

Has this really worked for you? I admit to starting and giving up, but if you've seen improvement then I may just start again!

I was going to try face yoga but read it could age you?

Simple, moisturiser.
don’t put tan on it, dries skin out and looks worse

Swearwolf · 20/08/2025 20:50

I’ve been using the Gold Bond neck and chest cream, they also do one for crepey skin. It’s good and not too expensive either.

Favourites response so far on how to look younger…

Drape yourself in scarves 😆

I honestly don’t know why people post like this on mumsnet. If it doesn’t bother you that’s great - I’m really happy for you. Read and move on. It does really bother me - I hate it. Do you think I should be ashamed of this?

You definitely shouldn't be ashamed of growing older, but maybe the PP was just trying to say acceptance will save you alot of money and heartache.

No matter what you rub on your neck it will make little material difference other than moisturise your skin. Ditto face cream.

You could try face/neck exercises? Or if you fancy something really radical, surgery.

Well winter is on its way: you have 6 months or so to embrace polo necks and turtle necks!

SlicedMelon · 20/08/2025 21:06

Profhilo and injectables like that definitely reverse aging on the neck temporarily - other than that a neck lift is definitely in my future as I come from a long line of turkey necked women.

That's the thing! Polo necks with a baggy crepey neck do not work! It pushes the neck skin to the top in one big roll.

SlicedMelon · 20/08/2025 21:07

I also find that if I am exercising well my neck looks way better - Pilates and weights and things that involve the neck muscles.

Hygbridghhh · 20/08/2025 21:07

Does exercise help

Blueuggboots · 20/08/2025 21:09

I like the temple spa exalt cream when I’m feeling flush, but at the moment, I just take my facial creams onto my neck.

Behappier · 20/08/2025 21:10

Bare Minerals does one, which I notice a difference in a few days if I don't use

Kassalah · 20/08/2025 21:11

My tip is - when you moisturise your face, rub the excess onto your neck & decolletage area too.

Not for me. I do yoga and martial arts. Very fit. Good weight. Just crap neck.

Prai - I use the Gold one - not specifically neck cream but really rich and sinks in straight away .
I have used some other Prai products and found they pilled

Didn't rate it at all unfortunately

Birdy1982 · 20/08/2025 21:31

Done both Morpheus8 and Obagi medical - Obagi took longer but more effective

Exfoliate / peel once a week - skin will absorb cream / serum better on squeaky clean skin

Tablesandchairs23 · 20/08/2025 21:32

Microneedling

Hollybobs1 · 20/08/2025 21:33

Glycolic enzyme mask once a week, retinol cream twice a week, vit c cleanser/serum/moisturiser morning and night

Oh no! Why is the reality of bodily issues always worse than you envisage - like pregnancy...

1clavdivs · 20/08/2025 21:35

Microneedling seems to be improving things. I also use a tiny bit of tret. Considering Profilho.

Nemesis54 · 20/08/2025 21:38

Swimming will firm your neck
