Are there any previous Eurovision songs you still listen to?

I was just having a browse through the thread about how bad our entry is this year (and it is!) and it got me thinking about how even though Eurovision is a cheese fest it has produced some brilliant songs in it's time.
The following alone all feature on my Spotify playlist:

Euphoria by Lorren
Only Teardrops by Emilie De Forest
Ooh AHH Just a Little by Gina G
Love Shine a Light by Katrina and the Waves
Eg A Life by Eythor Ingi.

Anyone else got any Eurovision bangers they can recommend?

Horoscopes by Sheba who represented Ireland in 1982

Croatia’s 1995 entry Nostalgija

Finland’s 2012 entry Nar Jag Blundar

Oh! And the Israeli one Cinderella Rockafella still comes into my head
Also one sung in French but not sure if French or Belgium - was years ago something about her heart being Bleu!

And who can forget Lulu's Boom bang a bang?!

Do you know of any Spotify recording of un banc, un arbre?
It's one of the first Eurovision songs I remember from my childhood and I love it.

Same. I haven't looked on Spotify, assuming it's too old. Her performance is on YouTube. So emotional.

MrsJRHartley · 13/05/2025 18:40

Mathanxiety, it is indeed on Spotify but I prefer this live version. The set is the same colours as the vinyl (wipe clean) wallpaper in my childhood dining room.

Love City Groove (by Love City Groove Grin) Our best ever entry in my opinion!

aprilshowers2015 · 13/05/2025 18:59

Also "Flying The Flag" by Scooch, always on my Eurovision pre party list for the pure camp/cheese/tack value.

Ironfloor269 · 13/05/2025 19:00

Take on me by A-Ha

"Think about things", the Icelandic one that would probably have won in 2020 if Eurovision hadn't been cancelled due to the pandemic:

Came here to say this- love this song - especially as when they sing Baby, it's about an actual baby :)

RaraRachael · 13/05/2025 19:07

All the things she said - Tatu (Russia)

Tooty78 · 13/05/2025 19:35

Ding- a-dong by Teach-In, that won in 1975.
Typical Eurovision bat shit crazy lyrics, but it is such a happy song you can't help but join in.
50 years old and I can still remember the words!

Tu te reconnaîtras”, was my absolute favourite even though I was only a child at the time - early 70s I think 🤔
