I was just having a browse through the thread about how bad our entry is this year (and it is!) and it got me thinking about how even though Eurovision is a cheese fest it has produced some brilliant songs in it's time.

Go (Before you break my heart) Gigliola Cinquetti - 1974 runner up. Beautiful.

Yep, this is a big favourite in my household, plus their other music.
And I quite liked the unusual Ukrainian group Go_A from a few years back.
Spaceman was a good song, plus as others have said, Waterloo.

Oh and Dadi Freyr's cover of Whole Again which they also did for Eurovision is unironically good, much prefer to the original!

• Salvador Sobral won the Eurovision Song Contest with "Amar Pelos Dois," a ballad written by his sister, Luísa Sobral.

Øve Os På Hinanden by Fyr Og Flamme (Denmark 2021) and Zorra by Nebulossa (Spain last year) are by far my most listened-to Eurovision songs, but it is a very crowded field otherwise.

Dragostea Din Tei

Loads already mentioned (I too have a playlist!), but one that hasn't been is Take Me To Your Heaven by Charlotte Nilssen which won in 1999. Absolute cheese fest!

France were robbed last year with Mon Amour, amazing song.
