So the recent thread resoundingly in favour of frozen mash made me buy some… and yes Mumsnet is quite correct.. totally converted. Which got be wondering what else have I missed?
My frozen foods are just the usual chips, peas and fishfingers. What other game changers are out there?

Any supermarket has them, look in the Asian / world food section of the freezers. They're usually with the pakoras, frozen garlic and okra etc

Why would you not use frozen broccoli as a side if boiled or steamed @BambinaCucina?

It's very watery.

Nothing against frozen, and if they were my only choice, I would absolutely eat them. I just like my vegetables to be on the crisper side, so prefer fresh.

As I say, I'm happy to use frozen cauliflower for cauliflower cheese. And frozen peas and corn. But neither frozen broccoli or cauliflower would be my choice for a simple boiled/steamed side.

I've seen frozen soffrito in Waitrose and Morrisons but to be honest, it's really easy to make and I prefer the ingredients to be chopped really finely. I put it in little pots and just take a pot out of the freezer when I need it.

Same here. One day when I was feeling really lazy I dug my old spiralizer out of the back of the cupboard and used that to slice the veggies really finely. It doesn’t work with the celery but makes chopping the carrot and onion really quick

Frozen black cherries from Sainsbury’s make a lovely clafoutis.

To me, cauliflower cheese needs fresh cauliflower, simmered for a max of 3 minutes, and drained very thoroughly. Soggy, flabby cauliflower ruins it IMO.

It's definitely my preference to have fresh. But I think it's fine with frozen - I defrost and dry it before putting it into the sauce.
