A bit bored today.
So my user name says it all.
What dose your partner or husband do that you find really sexy but its just normal.
But they dont know its a turn on.

Mine is when he dose his belt up or un-dose it or just leaves it undone while he gets ready for the day i dont know why but yeah its a thing.

What does she do for a living?

Building services manager for a care home. So technical / maintenance type stuff in a caring setting, chatting with the oldies who adore her whilst managing the site in terms of facilities.

Toooldtocare25 · 16/03/2025 08:02

Ironing his own t shirt whilst just in his jeans.
high viz stinking dirty
fixing something

hazelowens · 16/03/2025 08:02

He looks after me and no matter how tired he is if I need a head rub/ scratch to calm me down he'll do it or I'll play with his beard

Feelinghurt2 · 16/03/2025 08:21

My boyfriend spent absolutely ages fixing the strap on my handbag while we were on a recent holiday. I told him he really didn't have to, but he insisted, and plonked himself down on the floor cross legged and got to work. It was like a matter of life and death for him.The intense look on his face made me melt. The sun was coming through the hotel window and I noticed how particularly curly his eyelashes were. When he's doing something like that, it's like nothing else on earth matters until the job is done. He can't even hear you if you speak. Makes me go weak at the knees.

Itsarecipefordisaster · 16/03/2025 08:40

My DP is a vet, when he puts his scrubs on before work I get a bit giddy!
When he’s just waking up and is all tousled and sleepy (I’m much more of a morning person) I want to ravish him but wait till he’s had chance to come round.

Jack80 · 16/03/2025 08:56

How he will go the extra mile for our family, driving to places I wouldn't to take our daughters to friends.

Missj25 · 16/03/2025 10:42

I’m single now , but when they reach up for something you can’t reach , you’re standing close to them , it’s like so manly & sexy 😂

gotthearse · 16/03/2025 11:41

So the TLDR is

Strong arms
Competence
Kindness

Basically everything required to keep us and the progeny alive in the forest.

justanotherimperfectmum2025 · 16/03/2025 15:48

I got all tingly watching my DH chiselling ice off the outdoor chest freezer in our garage once! 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

KnitFastDieWarm · 16/03/2025 16:53

His forearms in rolled up shirt sleeves.
His ability to put anyone at ease, instantly.
Good Dadding - building dens, adventuring with the kids etc.
His military uniform (yes, I am that much of a cliche) 😳

RachelleHulme · 17/03/2025 12:11

I love watching my wife drive the car, watching her bangles rattle on her arm as she works the gears and her stockinged feet on the pedals.

RadiantRainbow · 17/03/2025 13:27

The parallel parking thing with one arm ALWAYS gets mentioned, but as the previous poster has said, can't we all parallel park?? It was part of the driving test 🤔
So it makes me really curious, do MEN find it a turn on when a wife does a very quick or competent parallel park? 😄 I guess not? It would have to be specifically feminine things? or am I mistaken?
What would men say in this thread about their wives or girlfriends? Is there a thread like that anywhere on mumsnet? Probably loads exist on Threads on insta...

RadiantRainbow · 17/03/2025 13:40

For my part, I don't have a partner at the moment, only a semi-boyfriend kind of situation, and just now we were talking on whatsapp about something which appeared very difficult to make happen, and when he suggested something, and I said "but how?"(because it appeared impossible), he simply replied "I will sort it out"...I still have no idea how he will, but it was just such instant relief when he is so confident and takes total responsibility, it is very hot...

I also like many PP like hearing him on a work call, he actually sometimes sounds kind of grumpy/curt/monosyllabic(but not unprofessional!) but it's so different from what he is like with me because he is very soft with me so him presenting kind of more masculine is interesting and a little bit of a turn on.

He also sometimes does this low slightly bemused or sceptical laugh which is very sexy.
He is an amazing driver and very very calm but I can't say I find it sexy as such, but I am super appreciative because Ex-DH was prone to road rage and it was exhausting.

I can’t parallel park (maybe I could when I took my driving test for my licence 20 years ago but certainly not now). I will park miles away rather than try. If my husband is with me I will drive usually but swap when we get there and he parks. I’m generally quite competent (I promise!) and more hands on and outgoing then him so I do actually quite like this aspect of him taking care of things I can’t do, though I’m not a huge fan of overtly masculine vibes normally.
Lately he’s been putting a lot of effort into caring for his elderly and unwell Dad and seeing him do that is not exactly a turn on because it’s so sad, but it makes me fall in love with him even more.
I do find it a turn on when he does complicated mental arithmetic in his head, though, so I guess there is definitely an aspect of being turned on by competence! He’s always said he likes hearing me talk about my work so maybe it goes both ways.

Walker1178 · 17/03/2025 15:47

When he sits and chats to the cat. She’s a moody little thing and he always asks her if she’s ok. I think it’s the pure look of love that the cat gives him back at that point that makes me melt

bert3400 · 17/03/2025 15:53

When he reaches up for something and shows the part above the top of his jean ...omg just thinking about it makes me go all funny

Catullus5 · 17/03/2025 17:26

I still make a point of parallel parking to keep in practice but as often as not I'll hit the kerb or have to try again.

If you're reversing, you have to turn round and put your forearm on the seat, surely? So you can face the right way. Or are the rest of you owls?

I set the seat up so that I can keep both hands on the wheel and still twist my shoulders enough to see out of the back window. I also am happy to use the mirrors for most reversing operations.

Unbuttoned shirt over an otherwise bare torso. Like the cover of the cheesiest possible romance novel.

I would certainly be very interested to hear whether men found female competence, intelligence and strength a turn-on, or whether it made them feel emasculated and ‘un-needed’.

Not specifically, no, but I can see how it might make my feelings for some women I know tip over into love in the right circumstances. But what I feel generally is more like admiration.

It is important to me that I'm competent in my relationship. I think that makes me, a bit unwilling to be looked after in case i stop being that. I guess you could describe that as not wanting to be emasculated, though that is a loaded term.

DW is very good at reversing the car, but it does nothing for me!

NeverDropYourMooncup · 21/03/2025 21:22

When something needs fixing or assembling and I go to see that he's cleared the entire area, set out the right tools, carefully unpacked and put things in neat, logical piles - and then hands over to me, saying 'I'll put the kettle on'.

weegiemum · 21/03/2025 21:33

When he rolls up his sleeves and turns the steering wheel with one hand.

until I realised he’d taught our dd2 to drive in the same way!

now I just get confused!!!
