Going to an event I can't get out of which is compulsory superhero fancy dress. I'm a size 18 with huge norks FFS!

@Screamingabdabz is right- the best way to not stand out or look silly is to go all in. Just order a costume and wear it. Supergirl and Wonder Woman both have replica costume options with a skater skirt dress.

or if you want to avoid adding to landfill, head to your nearest costume hire shop and hire something.

Black cargos/jeans, long sleeve black top, brown corset on top optional. Just add the makeup and hair.

I would wear an outfit you love and then just buy a coordinating super hero mask (and cape if you are feeling flush).

We once went to a 'Come as a drink' fancy dress, we were a lot younger and dafter then, I went just as myself, 'I'm 1cc', which happens to be my initials. our West Indian friend wore black jeans, black top, and a blonde wig, he said he was a Guinness!

Or a black outfit of your choice but with a nun's head- dress and a big crucifix?
