Ffs it's compulsory fancy dress

Going to an event I can't get out of which is compulsory superhero fancy dress. I'm a size 18 with huge norks FFS!

Please help me mumsnet 🙏

Sorry no, no one would be making me go in fancy dress to anything. I'd not be going. Bloody hate fancy dress parties and especially when the host feels it necessary to add 'compulsory' as if guests are all 5.

So not only is it fancy dress but it's fancy dress with a theme. I'm sorry OP but I'd rather come across as the most miserable person ever and I'd have to say absolutely no way to this. Who in the name of god finds this stuff enjoyable

I'm the same size OP and have H cups! I would wear something you feel comfortable in/already own and fits you, then accessorize that. Personally, I wouldn't be squeezing myself into a lycra outfit of any sort! 😬

-Cape and mask
-Dark outfit, cat woman ears and a tail
-Black trousers, white shirt open with a superman top underneath

Superman t-shirt underneath an open white shirt, black trousers, black blazer and a pair of specs. If you haven't already got the shirt, trousers or blazer it'll be cheap enough to pick up at a charity shop and can be reused at some point in most people's careers.

Find yourself an inexpensive purple coat example and go as the Joker?

Re she hulk.. she’s actually really pretty in the spin off show on Disney plus! So the poster might not have been being rude. In that version she’s a lawyer by day, so you could do business clothes plus green face paint 🤷‍♀️

I’d just do Catwoman. Black outfit, buy the ears, mask and tail online.

I wore black pants and a chefs white jacket and big hat...carried a huge frying pan and strung a couple of cooking utensils and empty boxes of batter mix 'about my person' 🤣 I marched in brandishing my frying pan, announcing 'Who called for pancakes...here's Super Fry Guy to the rescue!!' (In my most superhero voice )
