I think we will hear words of support from Europe and we already have. How strong? The rhetoric will be stronger than the actions, I would think. Europe just doesn't have the military means to take on Russia.

I find myself wishing Zelensky had used an interpreter. It would have given him time to reflect with his answers and not get drawn in the extraordinary exchange of words, but then again maybe he would have given the same answers?

I'm off to do some gardening, the sun is finally out and I'm going to inspect the pots, or whatever the squirrels have left there.

I don't think a single person on that other thread wants to see any more bloodshed.

Meloni said no to peacekeeping troops and there was no mandate to offer which was interesting

Zelenskyy has arrived at downing street. Very warm greeting from Starmer and cheers from the crowd.

NATO Mark Rutte has commented

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has advised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to repair relations with US President Donald Trump following their angry exchange.
"It is important that President Zelensky finds a way to restore his relationship with the American president and with the senior American leadership team," Rutte said in an interview with the BBC.
Which is very tough on Zelenskyy, but probably an indication of the risk faced.

As expected from Rutte. I wouldn't want his job at the moment.
We can only hope that behind the scenes in downing street today, private conversations were had with the Americans.
