Roast chicken dinner, with all the sides, made specially for my very young GD. She didn't want any! Had strawberries and cheese instead.
More for her grandpa.
Don't mind a bit as long as she's happy and fed.

LindorDoubleChoc · 06/02/2025 20:07

We haven't had ours yet.

It is going to be a one-pot rice dish (I hesitate to call it a risotto) made with chorizo, bacon, chicken breast, leeks, mushrooms, garlic, rice, tomatoes, peas, corn, chicken stock, bayleaf, oregano and black pepper. Butter will be stirred through when the rice is cooked and parmesan grated over the top to serve.

Chicken kebab because my kitchen is still a building site 😭

neverremembertodothis · 06/02/2025 20:17

Chicken casserole with broccoli. Pudding of three mint imperials I found in the kitchen drawer.

beonz · 06/02/2025 20:20

@StormingNorman sounds lovely, do you have a recipe please?

Thegreenandpurpleone · 06/02/2025 20:22

Takeaway fish and chips, we’ve been promising ourselves a treat all week and managed to hold out til tonight (we try to do very healthy eating weeknights). It was really nice but very big portions and to be honest I'm already regretting it a bit. Everyone’s home made meals, especially the soups, all sound amazing!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 06/02/2025 20:23

Savoury Mince Crumble; a real family favourite here!

Breast of chicken burger with tomato and red onion, homemade oven chips.

Newbie8918 · 06/02/2025 20:27

Chicken Kiev, homemade skin on chips and peas. It's time of the month, so that explains the slab of white bread and butter on the side, which I used to make a chip butty. I didnt even feel a bit guilty about it, even when a bit of butter dropped on my chin 🤣

WildestDreamer · 06/02/2025 20:27

Croissants, DD said it was the best dinner ever 🤣

Sausages, spinach mash and roast carrots with onion gravy. Sounds fancy but it's a hello fresh 25 minute dish. First bit if cooking I've done since last Thursday as we've had a sickness bug run through the house.

Ooh I had that last night!

Have done all this week's so tonight we went to the other extreme and had a Charlie Brigham's Red Thai Curry.

sierradelta · 06/02/2025 20:34

An individual Turner's pie (veggie), mashed swede and cauliflower cheese.

Xiaoxiong · 06/02/2025 20:35

I went for a work dinner to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the city and honestly I wish we'd gone next door to Nando's. Daylight fucking robbery.

When I found out where it was booked, I begged our EA to book us somewhere else - she said it was all she could find that had a table for the time we needed and now I know why!

Peppermintcreamz · 06/02/2025 20:36

Salad which consisted of salmon, cucumber, tomato, red onion, bell pepper, avocado, feta cheese, walnuts and a boiled egg. Bit of a pick and mix!
