Ski

I do that too! If I’ve just had a shower (and now dry) I find it impossible to twist it round though, (so now have to stick a cloth under the back strap to help it swivel round).

Are there people who do their bra up from behind? Mind blown.

ReignOfError · 23/01/2025 16:14

Wink/close one eye.

Swim.

Grow my fingernails.

ImWearingPantaloons · 23/01/2025 16:14

Catch.

Skate.

Remember the rules of card games.

ImWearingPantaloons · 23/01/2025 16:15

I can't read music either. Just dots on some lines....

I do.

I can't

Whistle
hop
Hit a rounders ball unless I'm holding the bat upside down. I can whack it for quite a distance with the handle but miss every time with the right end.

VictoriaEra · 23/01/2025 16:25

I can't scream. I am a freezer/underreactor anyway but only realised I couldn't scream when I was in a play in which it was required. I really tried hard to practise in private but all that I could manage was a low growl.

I can't belch Sad

I would go private and pay good money for Belch Enablement surgery, I can tell you.

I used to burp about once a year until I was in my late thirties. The I developed stomach problems reflux/GERD and I burp all the time! But I never know when it's going to happen so it's a bit embarrassing!

queenofthewild · 23/01/2025 16:28

I can't wink with my right eye. Only my left.

And I can't tie shoelaces the grown up way. I have to tie 2 bunny ears together.

sashh · 23/01/2025 16:30

stayathomer · 23/01/2025 13:25

Cycle properly and cook (unfortunately!) Been trying to learn both since I was a child!!!

Well if you are trying to do both together I can understand.

ohtowinthelottery · 23/01/2025 12:16

I can only wink with my right eye and not my left eye.

I can’t wink either of them.

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 23/01/2025 16:47

Whistle
Click my fingers
Roll my tounge
A roly poly somersault, that even most toddlers can do. During school PE lessons I'd get into the same position as everyone else and then crawl to the end of the mat and pretend I'd done it too!

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 23/01/2025 16:52

I can only do 🖖 with my left hand. Thankfully I never meet any klingons.

ScarlettSunset · 23/01/2025 16:58

Use my fingerprint to unlock my phone. Or anything else that requires a fingerprint. It just never works.

Clearly my fingerprint must change every minute or something....

elledee412 · 23/01/2025 16:59

I’m terrible at shaving my legs standing up. I have to sit down in the shower to do it or I cut myself every single time. I’ve been shaving my legs for 20 years 😅

I’m also really bad at knowing left from right on the spot - if you need to make a quick turn I am NOT your girl.

I can only wink with my left! I've never met anyone else who can only wink one eye - it's so nice to finally find I'm not alone!

I can't do up my bra from behind. I have to do it at the front and rotate it around to the back. I've always done it this way, and when I try to do it the grown up way I just can't 😩

me too.

Yes! That's the 'right' way to do it, according to...
Bravissimo, who have a vested interest in making sure you wear a bra properly (many people don't)
A radiographer friend who spends her life looking at breast tissue and says twisting bras around under your boobs isn't a good thing
A physio friend who says doing a bra up behind you is excellent for keeping a good range of mobility in your joints, and manual dexterity.

Hyperion100 · 23/01/2025 12:15

Get out of a chair without making that "arrrgh" noise.

🤣🤣🤣

Swallow pills, I always get them stuck in my throat. I have tried various ways to get them down but they always fail. I have to crush most tablets or get a liquid version.

Edited

I inherited this problem from my Mum. I managed to solve it for me by swallowing pills with food instead of liquid. Yoghurt or similar textured pudding works but I find chewed food is best (sorry if TMI) You may have tried it already and full disclosure it never worked for my Mum but it does for me....of course you can't do it with the take on empty stomach tablets but if you can do it with just a small amount of food, it might be worth checking with the prescriber.

its one of those things where that is great advice if you can do it!

whaddayawannado · 23/01/2025 17:18

Sit cross-legged. Caused me no end of discomfort at primary school.

Whistle (unless it is through strands of grass between my thumbs, in which case I'm your woman.

Do up a tie. Used to be able to, totally forgotten how and just can't any more.

Long division.

Use a smart phone properly.

I can't burp either! I so wish I could. I get so jealous when I see someone neck a bottle of fizzy and do a huge one. Seems so satisfying. If I drink too much fizzy it just makes me feel really sick.

ohtowinthelottery · 23/01/2025 17:26

@whaddayawannado I can't sit cross-legged either and couldn't as a child. In Yoga, it's called the Easy Pose! Well I can confirm it absolutely isn't!
