For the better, obviously.

Can be a thing, person, activity, place...anything really.

Mine is trig bagging. It's so much fun and gets you out there, to unexpected and unknown places.

What's yours?

That is just the kind of anoraky hobby I enjoy and it looks like an excellent excuse to discover new bits of countryside. Thanks for the tip!

It sounds a bit like geocaching but without the threat that the cache has been sabotaged or stolen when you find it!

Thanks for the explanations others have posted - I confess I was lost too (pun definitely intended!)

These are easier & safer "Lever Action Jar Key Opener (Color Assorted)" from Amazon

I jam a teaspoon handle under the jar lid and give a little twist and it will pop!

We have two kingsize duvets on our super king bed. My husband likes to wrap duvet all around himself and I like a very warm heavy duvet so it suits us to have two.

They dry like magic. Its weird I dont understand how they do it tbh. I have queens and they go in a normal size washing machine, with the sheet. If its the summer or the heating is on they take 1 hour to dry (I know!!!), in winter with no heating on and just hung over the banister it takes a day.

Ive been using them a year and they look like new still. I use Nightlark ones, and have several. They are a bit exy but for me as so worth it.

Ours are from Night Lark too. The kids have ones from Asda that are still going strong after a couple of years but aren't as good quality as the Night Lark ones. I'm never going back!

My kitchen is 3.5m x 3.5m but how many drawers do I currently have? THREE! And two of those are more style over substance as they're about 8 inches deep on the front, but the inside useable space is only about 3 inches deep. As a result everything slide off the back of them and is a total pain in the arse!

@ElaborateCushion You can put cardboard boxes or fabric ones in the drawer that have the hight you need.

But that would stop me being able to moan about it! 😂

You're entirely right though. I get a bloody HelloFresh box every week that I could easily re-purpose. Right - that's it - it's on next weekend's "to do" list!

Get a teaspoon and prise the lid a tiny bit underneath to release the vacuum.

Run hot water over the lid.

Run hot water over the lid.

Use a wooden spoon to tap the rim of the lid.
It goes “tic-tic tac-tac TOK” and the seal is broken.
No stabbing, no special tools, no hot water.

WD 40 Specialist Silicone Lubricant is excellent for the rubber seals around car doors and stops them sticking with the ice.

Wish I'd known this last week I have some in the cupboard because it's excellent for cleaning composite doors.

Thank you for this! I usually pierce the lid with a knife, and this releases the pressure. Your way sounds better, though, especially if you want to save leftovers in the jar!

Ooh things that def make my life easier or better which I've adopted in the last couple of years-

Tweezers with a built in light
Epilator instead of razor or waxing
Tinted body lotion/moisturiser
Doc marten boots (soft leather ones)
Trainers that fit my flat feet
Heated throw
Airfryer
Kindle unlimited and listening to books for free via Text-to-speach
Ear buds
Proper steam iron with water tank

But best by far is my indoor walking pad! I try to walk for an hour a day but it's too icy/cold in Scotland at the moment and very dark so I've been walking indoors instead. Not as great as outdoors but fab not to miss it 😄

Your indoor walking pad... is if this?

That I can stay walking in the line/pavement space I'm already in, and not move out of the way, if a man or group is walking towards me. I can also neither apologise nor thank them if they bash into me or move for me.

I've held my line several times in recent months, and had two men clip my shoulder as they moved at the last second, and one of a group of students stop millimetres away and look absolutely astonished that I hadn't moved off the path and onto the grass for him.

It's fun!

Called patriarchy chicken, love this game. The older I get the better, as I'm invisible now so men only see me when I'm in the way, it frustrates them no end, how dare this uppity old bag be in my way

We moved to a completely different house in a completely different area in a completely different town.
Everyone’s life changed for the better, even the dog.

I've got a right selection of non branded ones. lighter, shorter ones for summer, heavier ones, and my favourite are the three ankle length ones. I live in them. they're so comfortable. I change into one as soon as I get home, and only change out of them for bed or leaving the house.

Where are your full length ones from please?

Edited

Also use rubber gloves when opening jars. Males it much easier.

I got mine from here, not sure if I am doing this right, but they are on Amazon, I have 2 Oodies and 2 of these, I prefer these as they go to my ankles. https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/Pterygoid/page/0961DDFC-8171-4261-981F-3B5FA3767403?ref_=ast_bln

Thank you!

Somebody else might have pointed this out before I catch up, but what you REALLY need is the Masha.

Or just use your hand beaters. Gives lovely smooth mash.

That if I can’t undo a jar lid, stab it with a knife to put a hole in it then it unscrews easily

Put a thick rubber band round the edge and twist. Works every time.

I'm a pluckaholic so I need one of these. Worth starting this thread alone for 😂
