For the better, obviously.

Can be a thing, person, activity, place...anything really.

Mine is trig bagging. It's so much fun and gets you out there, to unexpected and unknown places.

What's yours?

A pull out pan drawer.
No longer do I have to lie flat on the floor with a torch in search of a pot or pan.
My life is complete.

This! I've just moved house and now have a pan drawer for the first time in my life!

I also bought slow cooker liners from Tesco during my recent trip to the UK - will be trying them out on Sunday!

Incredibly jealous of this.

That if you walk in a zig zag up a steep hill it is so much easier. I live up a very steep hill and I never get out of breath now.

PollyCreo · 10/01/2025 17:20

Apparently stop your slow cooker getting covered in gunk! You just lift out the food intact in the liner and no cleaning required. I'm partial to a whole slow cooked chicken but the mess is a pain to clear out 😕

Headingtowardsdivorce · 10/01/2025 17:21

Divorce 🤣

And extra steps I imagine too! Bonus

Have just discovered a microwave and intensive bake setting on my microwave. A had a crispy baked potato ready in 15 minutes!

whiteroseredrose · 10/01/2025 17:23

Agree on the pan drawers. We have all drawers from worktop down. So we have a tins drawer too.

WinterBones · 10/01/2025 17:25

that my hip is fucked.

This is a GOOD thing btw, NHS have been telling me it's fine for years.. private sports physio found a very real problem, and explained why its impacting my mobility and chronic pain levels... and that treatment can help!!

Atticus Pund. Sorry can't make the umlaut work. Infinally watched Magpie and Moonflower Murders. I now ask myself what would Atticus do?

rosemole · 10/01/2025 17:30

Omg from the makers of toastabags 😂
Is there anything they don't troubleshoot?

That after being retired for 8 years I don’t have to get up early.
I always felt so guilty but now 10 am is the new 7 am.

I would love one of these. No more grovelling on your knees reach toward the back of the cupboard.

Root touch-up spray. I know it’s not a new product but i only got round to trying it a few months ago and I can now eke out my hair appointments another 4 weeks or so.

Waitrose Croquants de Cordes - definitely no benefit especially to my waistline but they’re delicious and I’m addicted.

And finally, an electronic drum kit for dd - she can stick her headset on and play for hours and we don’t hear a thing! It’s fantastic and means she doesn’t have to go in the freezing cold garage to practice.

Bippityboppitybooo · 10/01/2025 17:39

In the last week, an air frier which dh is now obsessed with. And for me, a flash speed mop - perfect for the lazy/time poor!

Havalona · 10/01/2025 17:42

going away for Christmas/New Year. Am retired and no kids so went to the South of Spain last year and this year (just back) for half of December and January. I will never spend that cold, over commercialised load of bollocks that Christmas and the depths of Winter are again, as long as I'm able to. So help me God 😊

coldscottishmum · 10/01/2025 17:42

Putting out clothes for me, eldest’s school clothes and baby’s change of clothes and nappy the night before. Having it out and organised has genuinly shed around 30 minutes off my morning chaos!

LonelyMom123 · 10/01/2025 17:51

Robo vac/ mop. The floors (especially the black tiled kitchen floor) look so much better with very little effort.

WWLD · 10/01/2025 17:54

A tabletop dishwasher - I'm disabled and struggle to stand, so used to have to wash pots in small bursts when I was able, but have a tiny kitchen, so no room for a normal one. This has absolutely been a life changer.
