Bristol airport is still closed and flights are being cancelled and diverted.

For your info Bristol closed for arrivals until 2330 UTC according to info from Eurocontrol, not sure if that’s a worse case time and it might reopen earlier.

It's snowing in North Herts now. It's pretty light currently but settling.

Feels and looks like it's coming in the North! Minus degrees and that crisp cold air. Iced cars the past week early morning and also when driving back from work to those which were parked all day. Xx

It rarely snows in central London with any impact. I worked in the city for 25 plus years and only once saw snow so disruptive we couldn't get home. It was a bit different where I grew up in North London bordering Herts. It could get pretty bad there.

According to my weather app, its currently 2° and raining.

North Midlands here, already got an inch and a half of snow. Started around 7pm. The forecast was for it to start at roughly 8pm Saturday 4th Jan, and carry on til midday Sunday 5th Jan. Hardly surprising then that you were seeing nothing at 4.45pm!

And as a pp said, just because there is no snow in LONDON, that doesn't mean it isn't snowing anywhere else in the UK!

Actually, I've been hibernating all day with the curtains drawn and DH didn't notice, but yes, it snowed, and now it's raining!

I’ll believe in this “arctic blast” hyped by the media if it happens - I’m with others in that someone in the daily mail headquarters might have their finger a little too close to the “misery” button or the “frighten the pants off the public” button, on a slow news day.

It’s pissing with rain here - I’m on the south coast. We weren’t forecast any snow. It’s meant to be 13 degrees and more rain tomorrow.

We rarely get snow here. I think the last time was probably about 12 years ago.
