Bristol airport is now closed due to snow.

Planes diverting to Cardiff and Birmingham.

notimagain · 04/01/2025 20:25

@Chersfrozenface

Makes sense..FWIW most of the airports from Bristol eastwards to Farnborough are now reporting light show or light rain and snow, also snow at Gatwick, just light rain at Heathrow so far.

CeeJay81 · 04/01/2025 20:27

Nothing here in Wales. Think we're too close to the coast though.

None in London!

It's apparently 13 degrees tomorrow. Don't hold your breath for snow!

TokyoSushi · 04/01/2025 20:29

None yet in Warrington, dry and absolutely freezing though, my car says its 1 degree.

Nothatgingerpirate · 04/01/2025 20:31

I don't know what the "weather forecast" people are being paid for, prancing around at BBC studios wearing an ill fitting suit jackets and flirting with the camera, possibly?? 😜

Applepoop · 04/01/2025 20:32

It's in my street

TheEllisGreyMethod · 04/01/2025 20:33

Ah yes London centre of the universe. If there is no snow in London it didn't happen.

CautiousLurker01 · 04/01/2025 20:33

Falling in Surrey 8ish…

Hoppinggreen · 04/01/2025 20:49

DD is in Hampshire staying with friends and has just messaged to say it has started there

Flyingwands · 04/01/2025 20:51

Nothing in Burnley

Craftymam · 04/01/2025 20:51

Its sprinkling where we are

BlueyInsideVoice · 04/01/2025 20:53

I'm in the NW, and it's due to start any minute now until 9am tomorrow. Apparently the feels like temperature is -5!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 04/01/2025 20:54

We have orange weather warnings for 11 counties in Ireland now. Dublin still only yellow, but my Mum, who is supposed to come for lunch tomorrow, is much higher up than me so will probably be snowed in as it's a different sub-climate up there. I remember when I was a child we used to get snowed in and she would phone the school to tell them I would be absent only to have the office staff say "There's no snow here" in a tone that implied she was lying. She used to put the phone down and hiss "could they not just go upstairs and look out a window at the mountain". Grin

We've got a dusting in Pontypridd

Odiebay · 04/01/2025 20:56

Snowing in Berkshire!

welshweasel · 04/01/2025 20:57

We have about 2 inches where we are in south wales. Still snowing too.

VicSynix · 04/01/2025 21:05

We were driving from Winchester to Dorset at 5.30, just light rain forecast. The rain turned to sleet then to snow, then it started settling and the roads got a bit challenging, particularly when we were on higher ground. Did some interesting slides sideways but luckily were going very slowly so no harm done.

Ginmonkeyagain · 04/01/2025 21:06

Snowing in South East London now, but it seems to be melting as soon as it hits the ground.

EmmaSmiff · 04/01/2025 21:11

Ok, I need to apologise to everyone in the amber zone who has yet to see any snow. Excited that we are in the amber zone and expecting 30cm of snow, I bought the kids a sledge today, thus ruining any chance whatsoever of any snow. I can only apologise.

I feel I should atone, perhaps I could buy a BBQ, thus guaranteeing crap weather?

dixon86 · 04/01/2025 21:11

Media scaremongering as always

MargaretThursday · 04/01/2025 21:15

Thick snow now. The neighbours are having a snowball fight on our front lawn.
The roads have about 2" on.

Bristol airport is still closed and flights are being cancelled and diverted.

The M5 in Somerset has been closed twice because of crashes. Now just reopened again.

Depends where you are.

MrsTwinklywoo · 04/01/2025 21:20

Thick snow here in South East Wales.

HalloweenGrinch · 04/01/2025 21:25

Travelling west on the A303. It's fucking horrible.
