Ah, bizzey, you are so impressive! One of the things that makes me really grateful I never had kids was that I never had to make World Book Day costumes. The "requirements" for mothersparents to also be designers, seamstresses and the rest, compared to the demands on my mum in the 1970s are much higher these days.
I kindly asked my GP to change my HRT to a named oral version and spent more time than I wanted arguing for it online than I expected. It turns out the brand recommended by the doctor on Saturday was not on my GP practice's list. Having sorted that out, she wanted to warn me about blood clots (no family history, tiny risk) because my BMI is overweight. Let us not dwell on the application of a population measure invented in the Victorian era on an individual in 21st century Britain. But I had to point out I've lost 4st 2lb (58lb) in four years, and 2st (28lb) since May this year.
The end result is I have been prescribed oral HRT, just not the bioidentical version my other doctor recommended. I can pick up the prescription tomorrow.
DH had worked late last night to finish the coding necessary to demonstrate some software this morning. Apparently I woke him at 3am with an anxiety dream by sitting bolt upright in bed to look at the clock on his side. He decided to get up at 4am to finish the code. This woke me up but I was able to get back to sleep at around 6am.
The anxiety dreams are much more infrequent now and I shouldn't feel guilty but I still do. He has been a great support in the last six months and I hate that my severe anxiety has had an effect on him.
He then had the dressing on his hand changed today, which is a blessing because it really looked tatty after Wednesday's change. He arranged another dressing change for Friday at 10.45 but forgot that I have the car between 9.45 and 11.15 on Fridays. He was able to switch his appointment to Saturday at a local practice in the next town over that's part of the GP medical group.
I think I've become more than slightly agoraphobic since Covid. If I have to go out to an event, or to see someone, or for an appointment I can, but it's difficult to decide just to pop out to the supermarket if I haven't planned it.
Spent the rest of the day playing a computer game. Two tree surgeons coming tomorrow to quote to cut back the rowan.
