If you used to buy the Now albums what number was your first one?

33 for me, brought on double cassette from good old Woolies.

I know they are viewed by many as being deeply uncool but individual albums were way too expensive for me as a pre-teen. I think they featured on all my teen Xmas lists too and I remember the adverts with Mark Goodier doing the voice over.

I still have a very soft spot for them, even though when I occasionally pick one up for a nosy at I have no idea who 99% of the tracklists are, but I don't think I'm their target audience anymore anyway!

Now 18. Included Roxette and Wilson Philips.

Can't remember the number but it had Vanessa Paradis, Dollar and Mel and Kim. Must have been late 1980's.

18 but I would have also purchased a blank cassette tape to make a copy. You always needed a copy incase your tape player chewed up the original.

Now 5 on cassette. My favourite Now album was 7, I loved it. I wish I could download them!

I confess though, I have just checked my CDs and I was wrong - I had 37, 39 and 40. 39 was also banging!

My first one didn't have a number. It was just NYWICM. I got the double cassette for Christmas.

It was, I think that was the first one that I preferred the second disk. Especially if that one had Mulder and Scully by Catatonia on it!

Now 10 on VHS. Learnt all the moves for Love in the first degree by Bannarama.

I was an avid Smash Hits fan as well!

Can't remember which Now album I had but definitely Hits 2, which had Paul McCartney on. Also has a smash hits album on vinyl that had S-Express and Bomb the Base on it

Did you collect the lyrics card that were attached to the back of Smash Hits? I studied them religiously to learn the words to the latest songs, probably should have done the same with my homework too!

I bought - still have - the first one (Now That's What I call Music). On vinyl.

I didn't need to know fractions but the world would've ended if I didn't learn the latest All Saints song to the letter. 🙄🙄.

I can't actually remember, but it was an early one. I think it left with exH.
