33 for me, brought on double cassette from good old Woolies.

I know they are viewed by many as being deeply uncool but individual albums were way too expensive for me as a pre-teen. I think they featured on all my teen Xmas lists too and I remember the adverts with Mark Goodier doing the voice over.

I still have a very soft spot for them, even though when I occasionally pick one up for a nosy at I have no idea who 99% of the tracklists are, but I don't think I'm their target audience anymore anyway!

I think mine was Now 44, with Britney Spears hit me baby one more time on it! Pretty sure Shania Twain was track 2 ! I used to love the now albums but generally found disc 2 not as good

44 for me too 😍 I don’t think there was a dud on the whole album! 9 year old me was a Now 44 expert 😁

Now 10 on double cassette. I think it was 1987 and I seem to remember one particular side had a number of rock tracks including Crazy Crazy Nights by Kiss and Alone by Heart. Just realised I could Google this and actually find out.

NotYourSaviour · 23/11/2024 20:51

Now 8, vinyl LP.

Amaranthasweetandfair · 23/11/2024 20:51

Delam · 23/11/2024 20:52

My older sisters had 5 on double vinyl. I had 9 and 11 on cassette.

FranKatzenjammer · 23/11/2024 20:53

The first one and I had several after that.

AudHvamm · 23/11/2024 20:55

Now 32. I remember liking the beginning of both disks better than the ends.

There are playlists on Spotify, off for a listen to see if my taste's changed since I was 10!

HappySquid · 23/11/2024 20:55

22, double cassette! Lots of happy memories of listening to that. We also had 13 in the house which I remember I also loved.

Newdoggo · 23/11/2024 20:55

Now 3

number 1, record. Though it wasn't called 1 of course

Funnywonder · 23/11/2024 20:58

I had the first one. I bought the second one and never bothered after that as I was a bit fussier about what I was prepared to listen to by then😆

Drivingoverlemons · 23/11/2024 20:59

We had the first on vinyl. Not me but my sister. I still sometimes pick up a Now CD to play in the car.

Xyz1234567 · 23/11/2024 20:59

I got the first one on vinyl for Christmas 1983 from my parents. I spent hours and hours in the dining room listening and singing along.
I was 14 and, thinking back, I'm struck by how different life is for 14 year old girls now. Life seemed a lot simpler then.

loulouljh · 23/11/2024 21:00

No.1!

dementedpixie · 23/11/2024 21:00

I had Now6 and Hits3 on cassette

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 23/11/2024 21:01

IIRC the cover had a little booklet with interesting facts about each artist. "This is Ace of Base's third top 10 UK hit single. Their highest ranking was number 2 in 1994" type thing. And I used to read them religiously, even the bands I didn't like because it felt rude not to.

Same as me! Curtis Stigers came on the radio last week. Classic!

Deliberationdivinationdesperation · 23/11/2024 21:01

Now 53 was the first one I owned!

LoonaBaboona · 23/11/2024 21:02

My brother had the first 10 then got bored of collecting them.
