If you used to buy the Now albums what number was your first one?

33 for me, brought on double cassette from good old Woolies.

I know they are viewed by many as being deeply uncool but individual albums were way too expensive for me as a pre-teen. I think they featured on all my teen Xmas lists too and I remember the adverts with Mark Goodier doing the voice over.

I still have a very soft spot for them, even though when I occasionally pick one up for a nosy at I have no idea who 99% of the tracklists are, but I don't think I'm their target audience anymore anyway!

9 was the first one I had, it was a double cassette.
17 was the first one I had on CD and the one I remember most fondly.

'Word Up' is on Now 8. It peaked at number 3 in the UK charts in September 1986 and Now 8 came out in November 86, just in time to add to your Christmas list

First one, didn't have a number as it was the first.

Now 43, on tape. It was just as CDs were starting to come out as I bought the next one on CD.

Now Dance The first one which was bought for me for my 12th birthday.

Now2 was my first ever record! Double vinyl. No idea where it is now but I wish I'd kept it (and all the other vinyls I've had over the years)

Now 3, with the pig. I no longer have it, sadly, after several house moves. But here's the playlist
