I’m scared now I’ve realised this

I was thinking that the US public wouldn’t vote for Trump now that it is so apparent he is such a fascist. It’s terrifying to realise that they already know that and that is why they are going to vote for him.
I’m scared for the world.

Oh, ffs.

I am ignoring you.

Why because I"m asking an uncomfortable question regarding women's rights?

If you think women shouldn't have rights separate from males at least have the courage of your convictions and own it.

Who told you to ignore me?

If the Democrat supporters on this thread are going to say that Trump is delusional and part of a cult then perhaps they should be mindful that 'those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones'.

I'm no fan of Trump and I hope that Harris wins but failing to answer reasonable questions about what has led you to believe that male personalities should trump female lived reality really doesn't help your cause.

I agree.

I also hope Harris wins but I can’t wax lyrical about how she’s saving women, when her policies are removing their sex-based rights.

I don’t think either side actually care aboit women.

Two sides same misogyny.

Being a woman doesn't prevent you from being misogynistic. You've only got to look at the footage of Harris fawning over Mulvaney and juxtapose that with the fact that she's ignoring the voices of women losing sporting scholarships to males.

The part you're missing is that you are not owed any reply. You're coming across as very obstinate and arrogant. You're not in charge. 🤷‍♀️

You're right that you don't have to reply.

What you can't stop is the fact that your failure to reply speaks volumes about the Democrat's position on women's rights.

But we knew that already.

Who are they threatening?

Is it the males who are appropriating womanhood? Forgive me but I don't care. I care about the adult human females who are losing their sex based rights to a subsection of men who claim to be marginalised but who are in fact the most protected class of men on the planet. They literally have identified into their 'so-called oppression'.

I care about the women who can't access single sex rape crisis even though they are traumatised about the presence of males, I care about the women incarcerated and raped by males in women's prisons, I care about the girls at school who are being forced to lie about the sex of their male class mates, I care about the women and girls who have lost out on fair sporting opportunities. I care about the women who can no longer get care from female care givers. I care about the religious minority women who are now on a urinary leash because they can't share spaces with men. I care about the women in Afghanistan who can't identify out of their oppression.

Who've been had if you think otherwise.

Threatening??

When people disagree with you, so you feel unsafe?

He is clearly appealing to a lot of Americans. It’s their country, and they know what’s important to them. To suggest people who vote for him are stupid and braindead, is arrogant. It’s called democracy, and if people vote him in, then they’re in the majority, and get who the majority voted for. It’s a shame the Democrats have put forward Harris, who didn’t have much support before this, so is hardly going to pull the votes in. I honestly don’t think she’ll do anything much for the American people, and will just be a Biden mark 2. She’s definitely not the brightest is she?

Go on let's exchange ideas I'm up for it.

that's why I'm asking questions. You are the one refusing to exchange ideas!

If you tell me why you think men who identify as women are 'the most oppressed' wrt to the issues in my post of 22.05 then I will be able to work out whether I respect your position or not.

I'll bet you won't.

It's not me who is refusing to exchange ideas!

Another one who labels Harris as not intelligent. Her resume is outstanding. There has been a lot of discussion analyzing the different ways in which women and particularly women of colour are attacked and lack of intelligence is one. You do realize it's a top Trumism, right?

Absolutely.

In a discussion the only reason you would feel unsafe is if you can't back your position up.

So no coherent reason why you believe men who identify as trans women are so oppressed that they should be given additional rights that actively harm females.

I'm shocked I tell you.

'They are masters of divide and rule'.

Lol.

Trump cultists live in an alternative reality created by Trump supporting media, so that's the major divide.

The fact that your guy is making speeches saying that Democrats support infanticide, and that schools are performing gender affirming surgery on children. How utterly bizarre and vile. How do possibly expect the 2/3rds of the population that don't inhabit your delusional universe to tolerate a leader who's making these sorts of pronouncements?

The deranged projection of Trumpers is a sight to behold.

Interesting to read that, in Selzer's Iowa poll, women over 65 are out in force behind Harris. That Harris leads with men, in this group, by 2 per cent - but by 35 per cent among women over 65. The women who fought for these rights.

“I can’t give you a data-driven answer, which would be my preference,” said Ms Selzer. “It was over the summer that Iowa’s six-week ban on abortion went into effect, after all the court challenges were taken care of. So the decision being made, the law going into force, and then people living with it for a while."

Well, not quite. He lost the popular vote in 2016 and 2020. The majority of people voted for Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, respectively.

That's Democracy.

It's the Electoral College System.

I think it has been around at least a century, a result of issues concerning the vote during the Civil War.

Is there the palate to change the voting system? I guess not otherwise presumably it would have happened.

We have the same possibility in the UK with the first past the post system.

It's still democratic.
