I’m scared now I’ve realised this

I was thinking that the US public wouldn’t vote for Trump now that it is so apparent he is such a fascist. It’s terrifying to realise that they already know that and that is why they are going to vote for him.
I’m scared for the world.

I'm determined that women should have bodily autonomy and fairness in society.

Trump is anti those things.

And I'm anti Trump!

I just understand why some women in the USA are despairing with the Biden/ Harris administration.

Women don't get fairness under the democrats either because they're so ideological that they've lost their minds when it comes to identity politics and are removing women's rights too.

There's plenty of unfairness in sports that doesn't seem to animate people in the way that the existence of transgender women does. For example a third of Team GB at the Paris Olympics was privately educated when only 7% of the UK population is.

Are you 'determined' that women who haven't had access to a privileged education should also have an equal chance in sports, or is this very much bigger and more entrenched problem less interesting to you because it doesn't give you a chance to enjoy a bit of 'feminist' grandstanding in regard to a tiny, beleaguered and marginalised group?

At least you know you're on the same side as that rapist Trump in regard to transgender women.

Stoping males from competing in sport reserved for females doesn't stop trans women from 'existing'. Stop being so melodramatic.

I'm sick of the fact that people don't want to discuss WHY people are fed up with the Democrats. They're not perfect. If they were Trump wouldn't have a cat in hells chance with his track record.

This is a serious problem for the left, unless they start addressing reasons why people are not satisfied then they will continue to lose votes. It's easy to blame the other party, less easy to employ a little introspection.

I just get sick to the teeth of the fact that the left can never be criticised. It's at the point that it is a threat to democracy. Blaming everyone for being right wing/ pro trump without looking at reasons for voter dissatisfaction can result in lost elections.

To clarify that post said (paraphrased) yes there is other unfairness in sport but that doesn't mean that females should have to accept males in our sport.

I think I must have upset someone because I pointed out that trans women are male. I may have posted men in the context that women should not have to compete against any men rather than male and didn't check my wording back.

When that comes to sport it is very important. Women deserve fairness. Unbelievable that Mumsnet has deleted this post. I'm going to bow out now because I don't want to have my account suspended for daring to speak out for women and the fact that I have had a post deleted means that I'm upsetting someone who doesn't want these things stated.

So much for free speech.

And final post - this (above) is exactly what I'm talking about.

The left as currently embodied by Harris doesn't allow free speech. Doesn't allow us to state things that are factually correct.

This authoritarianism and lack of willingness to engage with other valid viewpoints is offering an open goal to Trump.

I think what a lot of British people don't understand is how many scholarships are based on sports here in the US, so it's not just about sport, but about opportunity as well. Every time a transwoman wins a sports scholarship, a girl loses out.

Sure, KH and the Dems are far from perfect.

But right now KH is running against someone described by many serious historians and his own former chief of staff as a fascist in the making. Over 90 of America’s most respected conservative Republican politicians are publicly supporting Harris, only because they regard Trump as a threat to democracy and possibly worse.

And just because Trump has no tolerance for trans people doesn’t mean he has any respect for women. Never forget that he packed the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade and women are dying as a result.

The election is over in 4 days. The eternal debate over gender isn’t going away. Can’t we put it aside until after the election?

The Dems aren't perfect, Trump is less perfect
Harris isn't all good, Trump is a lot worse
