If the heating has gone on already what area are you in?

I'm NE England. Heating has been on today. Really nippy here. I am coming down with a cold though so may be feeling colder than usual. Dh said it's cold too though.

Where are you if it's gone on?

West Midlands - very chilly here - I had cost and gloves on to walk dogs

London here and we had it on for today. Our house is quite old (and a bit damp) so it feels cold very quickly. Plus we are all ill.

East Midlands

I have given in tonight, the air in the house feels really cold. Thermostat said 18 degrees upstairs, so not icey but my feet and hands are freezing.

I'm calling it a pre-test ready for winter 😂

I finally caved and put it on at about 7 pm today. Outer SW London, but it really was chilly today - even dh remarked on it, and he’s usually the last to feel the cold.

Only went on today and wouldn’t have done so if we didn’t have a crawling infant but it’s nagging cold down here. South east.

Ours has gone on as its set to be 3 degrees overnight tonight. Manchester.

North East. Ours comes on automatically once the house temperature drops below 19C.

Our thermostat is set to come on at 18 degrees.

It was 18.1 this morning and is 18.3 now!

just got home and the car said it’s 9 degrees so I have high hopes that it might come on tomorrow morning! South Wales

NE Scotland . Came on yesterday. Was very cold overnight.

East of England. We put the heating on last night as the children's bedrooms were cold - we have smart thermostats on the radiators and have set the heating to kick on in their rooms if it gets too cold. I am still avoiding using the heating apart from that, though.

Can't believe how much the temperature has dropped so quickly!

North West. Had it on Tuesday and today (because I was working from home) and in my car on my commute in yesterday. It's been really chilly here this week!

West Yorkshire, it had come on over night here and then again at tea time for an hour.

I cracked and put it on today for the first time since spring. My son complained of the cold getting out of bed this morning and he never admits to feeling cold, so I put it on for an hour. Usually we don't need it until October.

We are in London.

Our thermostat is set to 18 at 6am and 7pm for a couple of hours each time (13 the rest of the time), it came on this morning, SE England.

Midlands in Ireland, due to go down to one degree tonight- freak cold front!!!! Loving having heating on!!!

I live in Somerset and I'm warm enough without the heating on - and I do feel the cold as I have an underactive thyroid. However I live in a modern, well insulated house.

West Yorkshire, log burner on but not the heating yet!

West Yorkshire. Resisted until 7pm, then had it on for 30 minutes.
