I'm NE England. Heating has been on today. Really nippy here. I am coming down with a cold though so may be feeling colder than usual. Dh said it's cold too though.

Where are you if it's gone on?

Ice cold in Sussex.

MountUnpleasant · 12/09/2024 21:31

In the SW, but I'm a Northerner with a Southerner for a partner so it was against my will. I like it COLD.

SnapdragonToadflax · 12/09/2024 21:32

East of England and we had it on earlier because I couldn't get warm. House was 15.5 degrees in the coldest room. At least we know it's working.

I don't remember ever having the heating on in September before.

Purplecatshopaholic · 12/09/2024 21:32

Yes. In central Scotland - really at night and first thing. 😤

SecondFavouriteDinosaur · 12/09/2024 21:34

Ours is on all year round with the thermostat set to 18 degrees because quite frankly I never want to be colder than that, whatever month it is.
It has kicked in about 3-4 times so far since the summer.

PeachBlossom1234 · 12/09/2024 21:34

Glasgow, been on for a couple of weeks on and off but earlier this week I set the timer so it comes on around 6am because it’s really cold to wake up. I worked from home today and had a hot water bottle on my knee

familyissues12345 · 12/09/2024 21:35

South central - heating has kicked in the last couple of mornings as it's a bit parky!

weareallqueens · 12/09/2024 21:37

No hearing yet in central Scotland but I did admit defeat and put on tights today. Sad

Hearing? Heating obviously

RafaistheKingofClay · 12/09/2024 21:41

Turned it on this evening because it’s set to get down to 2 tonight but it hasn’t dropped low enough so far for the boiler to kick in. I will probably turn it off again tomorrow looking at the forecast temperatures.

bringincrazyback · 12/09/2024 21:41

East Midlands. It's miserable here.

Doggymummar · 12/09/2024 21:42

Brighton. It was 17, perishing

SecondStarOnTheRight · 12/09/2024 21:42

East Yorks, nearly put the heating on this morning but persevered. Tonight I've got my unbranded oodie on and the purring hot water bottle (aka the cat) on my knee so I'm feeling toasty tonight!

BuenosAiresTango · 12/09/2024 21:42

We have it on in London, but it’s due to be 23 Degrees outside next week so we shall turn it off!

NE I put the heating on yesterday to finish off drying the bedding, it went from bright sunshine to hail within seconds yesterday afternoon.
This evening I’m wearing my fleece pjs there is definitely a chill in the air.

NE where?

Gilead · 12/09/2024 21:44

NE currently six degrees. Heating is on.

Vicliz24 · 12/09/2024 21:45

Mine kicks in at 17 degrees and it's come on tonight. Winter duvet went on today too . It feels like November here in the East Midlands

TwistedSisters · 12/09/2024 21:46

In Suffolk. I put it on for an hour this morning as had dropped to 17 inside but it warmed up quickly. Still at 19 inside now and it's actually meant to get warmer this weekend, we've got temps of 19-20 forecast , so hopefully won't need it again for a bit longer!

MolkosTeenageAngst · 12/09/2024 21:47

NW and not had it on yet, but have put on extra layers.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 12/09/2024 21:48

East Scotland.

I've had it on for weeks for 1-2 hours a day but this week it got switched back on proper.

It's going to be 3C tonight

RainbowZebraWarrior · 12/09/2024 21:48

Also NE England. 6 degrees now, but due to drop to 3. I set the alarm a little earlier to put the heating on (I enjoy the bedroom being cold during the night, so don't set the thermostat, I prefer to put it on for half an hour in the morning to warm DDs uniform on the radiators)

Imisscoffee2021 · 12/09/2024 21:48

Scotland, been putting it on for over a week

Mulhollandmagoo · 12/09/2024 21:49

Ours was on tonight for a really short time as I needed to dry my daughters school cardigan and a work shirt for my husband (I know, super organised 🤦🏼‍♀️) it was bloody lovely as I've been cold all day, got wet on the school run and straight to the office which wasn't very warm, and then wet again on the school run!

APurpleSquirrel · 12/09/2024 21:50

Somerset here - heating came on overnight as it must have gone quite low. It's due to drop to 4 degrees overnight in a few days 🥶

mitogoshi · 12/09/2024 21:51

Turns out I never turned it off so it kicked in today for the first time since May, set to 18 twice a day
