What is your resting heart rate?

Just curious. Someone said mine means I must be really fit but I'm not as active as I'd like to be.

My usual standard is anywhere from 42-56. But goes a lot higher if I drink more than a couple of glasses of wine. Currently this is tracked with an oura ring but previously had fitbits and Samsung watches and it's always been consistent, so no reason to doubt the accuracy.

74 but when I start exercising it drops to under 70. I don’t wear my fitbit when I’m sleeping though so not sure if these numbers are correct. Overweight by about 2 stone, working on it.

For all those panicking, your heart rate recovery (how quickly your heart rate decreases after exertion/exercise) is a better indicator of cardio fitness than resting heart rate.

That makes me feel a bit better thank you!

No ablation? No cardioversion? Wow.

No bisoporol and edoxaban.

No bisoporol and edoxaban.

As long as it is working, I assume you have a review with a cardiologist every so often.

It was found when I was in intensive care and I was just put on these,
I was only diagnosed last year but I did have a CT angiogram and other tests after I came out of hospital as well.
It's shite being so young with a condition like this.

38

Just to add I have had it checked out as I was due to have a foot operation and they refused to give me an anaesthetic.

Mine is genetic it seems - my cousin was british road cycling and champion and my uncle was a semi professional cyclist and my dad who is on the other side of the family has a heart rate in the 50's.

58-65. I’m a long distance runner, early 30s. It was 80-85 when I was overweight.
