Could well be another case of paranoid schizophrenia as with the awful Nottingham murders. Thank god neither of the victims died in this case.

We won't know until the trial, or formal confirmation there will be no trial for MH reasons.

DD & I were outside the Lego store in Leicester Square on Friday. We live in the Midlands but were in London for the weekend celebrating her birthday. The police presence made me feel safer than it probably should, where we live you almost never see Police.

It truly is awful and it doesn’t help the poor wee girl and her mum either way, but it would’ve been even worse for racial tensions if the perpetrator wasn’t white.

Its sad and very telling that when a white English person commits a heinous crime against children and women it’s a given that the whole white community doesn’t get blamed or attacked and the mental health line is immediately trotted out, but yet some racists will happily use a black or Asian person committing a crime as an excuse to rant, rampage and riot. It just shows their motivation is bigotry and hate NOT protecting women and children. But I think we all knew that.

Thank God for men like Abdullah, and the two black men who carried the injured girls in the Southport attack to safety, one of which ran into the building as others were running out and came face to face with the attacker.
