Why not? A brave young man risked injury to himself to save a child. If he hadn’t intervened we could well be hearing of another death or deaths tonight. I don’t care what his name is, he was bloody brave.

You have no men in your family then? What a sad way to think.

I have a wonderful husband and a wonderful son 😊

InkyPinkyPonky24 · 12/08/2024 18:24

@Allthehorsesintheworld I agree, he was amazing! Such a brave thing to do no matter what his name is. Praise where praise is due, he probably saved lives today.

Male violence and attempted femicide - young girls targeted at the Ariana Grande concert, girls and women targeted in Southport, taylor Swift concert foiled attack in Vienna and now this.

Right, and so do plenty of other women, unless yours are an anomaly. So it would be strange to find it hard not to hate them all!

I agree. It’s hard not to see links between it all. I don’t know of those links are there but I suspect that these men have all been visiting the same websites. This is, of course, based on nothing on my part.

The whole Andrew Tate and incel ideology has been treated as a joke, I think it is much more serious than that.

Ok 👍

It was in reply to my now deleted question. It was pertinent.

In what way is Abdullah's nationality 'pertinent'?

Nanana1 · 12/08/2024 18:38

Why do so many with mental health issues attack children?

BiscuityBoyle · 12/08/2024 18:40

Why do so many with mental health issues attack children?

Girls. Not children over all. Girls.

Nanana1 · 12/08/2024 18:40

London has always been the least safe place

It doesn’t just happen in London though & whilst my part of London was much rougher growing up, children were not targets.

Differentstarts · 12/08/2024 18:41

Abdullah is the definition of a hero just pure bravery we need more people like this in the world

Nanana1 · 12/08/2024 18:42

@BiscuityBoyle well I was thinking of the recent Hainault attack as well.

BiscuityBoyle · 12/08/2024 18:42

I would expect that Leicester Square is covered in CCTV cameras.

Girls. Not children over all. Girls.

My first thought was actually of the little French boy on holiday who was thrown off the gallery of the Tate Modern.

They attack the ones who cant defend themselves 😥

Why do so many with mental health issues attack children?

Having a mental illness makes you no more or less violent then anyone else

AdviceNeeded2024 · 12/08/2024 18:44

Knife crime is out of control in this country, especially in London and the government seem to do nothing about it.

Well done to the security guards who intervened, probably saved their lives.

BiscuityBoyle · 12/08/2024 18:45

Nanana1 · 12/08/2024 18:42

@BiscuityBoyle well I was thinking of the recent Hainault attack as well.

In my armchair opinion this was a man who was seriously mentally ill. He would have killed anyone.

The Southport killings and this recent attack are both targeting women and girls.

Perhaps I’m wrong but I would be surprised is we didn’t end up finding out that both of these attackers had been radicalised online by incel groups.

ColinMyWifeBridgerton · 12/08/2024 18:45

It doesn't seem like the woman knew the girl, from what the BBC have said. It seems like this is another horrible nutter of a man targeting young girls and women. There is one a week.

QueenOfTheNihilist · 12/08/2024 18:51

Well done Abdullah.

feathermucker · 12/08/2024 18:52

Abdullah is a hero

So the woman and girl are strangers?

It was a man who saved them, are we meant to hate him as well now?

Lawless Britain though, Labour's term will be defined on whether they can get some kind of grip on violent crime and senseless violence.

Efacsen · 12/08/2024 18:57

Goldenbear · 12/08/2024 18:55

Guardian are still reporting as 'mother and daughter' so IDK

No, BBC says it was a girl and her mother. Really hope they recover ok. That security guard is a hero.
