Who do your parents irrationally hate?

My dad hates Lulu. Can't stand her voice. My mum hates Michael Flatley as apparently he loves himself!

Megan and Harry, it got so bad I had to ban DM from talking to me about them.

We had to switch the tv over if Roxy Music pitched up on TOTP as my mother had an aversion to the faces he pulled when singing.

My mother loathed Sinéad O’Connor. She absolutely hated female confidence anyway, in anyone, but Sinéad got both barrels because she ‘didn’t make the most of herself’.

My mother feels that nice women are shy, deferential, and wear ‘flattering’ clothes, but not anything that ‘draws attention to you’.

I actually don't know who my mum hates.
My dad hates everyone because he's just an angry, grumpy arse but definitely Paddy McGuinness,
Danny Dyer (I agree with that one) and Cilla Black, he hated her singing.

My mum hates sam smith. She used to love their music but she says they now really creep her out. My sister and I found all the oddest pictures of them recently and will occasionally send pictures in our group chat and it really freaks her out 😂😂😂😂

Ben Fogle - absolutely no idea why - sorry Ben 😆

Meghan & Harry - They believe no one should air their dirty laundry in public and they have done a fair bit of that 🫣 - They used to love them initially now they are referred to as “that bloody pair” and as they don’t usually swear I know they really despise them 🤭

All the Strictly judges except Motsi. She mutes it during the judging.

Honor Blackman - they met, apparently she was bitchy and entitled.

Most of the Carry On film actors. Again they met, she thought they were vile. Particular hatred for Barbara Windsor due to her gang connections.

Reading these lists, I agree with most people’s parents! Interestingly, my parents like a lot of people on these lists!

My parents hate Michael McIntyre.

My Dad 'can't stomach' Jeremy Clarkson.
His Top Gear persona grates on him.
But, like a PP, i think he'd see a really nice side to him that we see on the farm.

He is a div, though!

Julie Andrews. Walks straight back out of the room if she's on. Happens sometimes at Christmas.

There are absolutely loads of people that get on my Mum's nerves.

Usually for the daftest reasons, too.

My late father used to hate Terry Wogan to the point he couldn’t say his name and called him ‘TW’. I used to quite like his radio 2 show but had to keep my listening secret least I offend him and unleash a stream of Terry Wogan based vitriol!

My dad was a lovely sane, rational person otherwise!

Neither of my parents could stand Jimmy Saville - we never watched Jim'll Fix It.
They both loved comedy but loathed Benny Hill, Chubby Brown, Bernard Manning, and Michael Barrymore.

Mum wasn't keen on Cilla Black.

My mum records strictly purely so she can fast forward through the judges!

I can't stand Lulu, the constant switching of accent - phoney. I once heard James Nesbitt say his mother telephones him every year at the exact time of his birth and relives every moment - yuk!

My mum really dislikes Lorraine Kelly and Carol Vorderman.

Mine too! To the extent I was supposed to be called Jessica, but then Frank Spencer’s daughter was named Jessica and she changed her mind as she hated how it sounded when he said it!

Michael McIntyre - my Dad calls him a small shouty man…and not funny. I quite like him.

My mum has a deep dislike of Cilla Black and Queen Camilla.

My dad couldn't stand Steve Wright.

I've always thought that Robbie Williams has a face I'd love to punch.

Mum hates Cliff Richard so we always say 'your boyfriend's on the TV mum'.
