Who do your parents irrationally hate?

My dad hates Lulu. Can't stand her voice. My mum hates Michael Flatley as apparently he loves himself!

My mum says she ‘cannot abide’ Holly Willoughby, James Corden , Meghan Markle & Prince Harry, the guy who plays Mr Tumble ( she thinks he’s ‘creepy’ ) Steven Seagal…there’s more in sure. She doesn’t hate them but she’s not a fan of any of them for sure.

My mum hates all women (famous and non famous) apart from Princess Diana and Paula Yates, her paternal grandmother (never knew her maternal one), one terrifying witch of a friend and possibly - but it's not certain - DSis, DSIL and me. She hates her own DSis, DSIL and DM.

My dad doesn't really know / care about celebrities except for footballers and cricket players and then he only really is interested in the team statistics.

Anything featuring Rowan Atkinson was swiftly switched off when I was younger because DM just couldn’t abide the sight of him. Or the sound of him come to think of it. No rational reason was ever offered and we all just accepted it.

My dad hates Claudia Winkelman. My mum hates many women on TV.

A lot of these are pretty well founded IMO 😂

My mum hates Stephen Fry because she read one of his books, and Andy Murray reason unclear

DM has a weird dislike of Claudia Winkleman

Mum hates Tom Cruise

My mum hates Gary Barlow and my dad would always complain about Diana, he hated that (in his opinion) she had massive feet 👣

I wouldn't have a clue who they like or dislike. My gran on the other hand commented on the celeb men who had treated their wives badly. It wasn't funny but it became a "not this again" when she piped up who else was a bad apple. An example being Tina Turner's ex husband.

My mum has hated The Carpenters and specifically Karen Carpenter ever since I can remember, if any of their songs ever came on the radio she would immediately switch it off, she's never explained why.

She also hates Jonathan Ross, she thinks "he's insufferable"

My dad couldn't stand Chris Tarrant because he met him once at a function and apparently he was really rude and "a bit of a wanker"

My Dad hated Bruce Forsyth. Thought he was fake and embarrassing.

My mum hates Paul McCartney, the only time I've ever heard her swear was as she described him. She briefly met Linda once, about 40 years ago, but she's never met Paul.

Whenever she was on tv he’d start.
“Look at the size of them plates!”
“They're massive, I reckon size 14”
“She’ll never fall over with those massive feet”
Just a selection. When she died he commented on her feet fitting in the coffin. I would wind him up and say that he had a foot fetish and that he secretly adored her 🤣

My mum has always had an irrational hatred of Jimmy savile and cliff Richard. Especially the latter. She's generally quite a perceptive kind of person.

My dad hated John Humphrys. He took great exception to him using answer cards on Mastermind. He thought it was cheating!

My dear Dad always hated Jeremy Clarkson because he wore denim.
I do think he would have enjoyed Clarkson's Farm though!

Carol Klein from gardeners world. No idea if this is justified or not as I never watch it & have no idea where they have got this from.
I feel bad for celebs though, catch them in a bad mood at a supermarket and they are forever arrogant twits even if generally they are the loveliest people.
