Why does everybody hate Trump?

First off, please don't flame me, I genuinely am not up to scratch on US affairs/politicians in general - I only do brief research for our own UK elections, and even then I generally only decide by whoever promises to help the NHS and living costs most believably!

Can someone give me some examples on why he's so hated - or on the other hand, why some people love him so much?

Apart from everything else, before becoming a politician he was a reality TV star, where he was playing the role of a competent business mogul (with a script) and a lot of people fell for what he was selling. Plus people love to vote for celebs because they think they know them. He would have had scores of people daily telling him “you should run for President”. Then Barack Obama publicly mocked the idea of Trump for President and that was like a red rag to a bull. Recipe for disaster really…

Really? Biden's sub par (,I don't think dementia, just being old) but some of the stuff Trump comes out with is insane.

My comment was meant to be a bit light-hearted on a serious thread but while we are on the subject ...... Hitler poisoned his own dog and also ordered Jewish people to surrender all their pets for destruction. Anyone found to have helped a Jewish family by taking in their pets was liable for severe punishment. Putin ordered the rounding up and destruction of stray dogs before big international sportswashing events in Russia. If I were ruling China, I would invade Taiwan on Day One of Trump’s presidency. He is unlikely to support Taiwan as they ‘don’t pay enough’.
Taiwan manufactures 60% of the world’s semiconductors, and 90% of the most advanced ones. So that is Game Over for Western economies, an economic crash worse than the Great Depression.

Not least because he's gone bankrupt at least twice and is still in business. Who suffers but the little guys, the suppliers and tradesmen who don't get paid. He has no shame whatsoever.

What everyone has said here but also add incredibly corrupt, he used his entire time in office to line his own pockets at the expense of the tax payers while also screwing over the tax payers. Also, he's the kind of politician who fills posts with incompetent yes men and women instead of people who can actually do the job. Check every single appointee he made while in office, none of them remotely capable of actually doing the jobs they were asked to do. Not only is he a moron with an ego but he's dangerous.

Why people like him? Well, that I can't really answer. I mean, I suppose rich republicans like him BC they don't care if the country burns as long as they can line their own pockets and he only has their interests in mind. However the majority of people who like him are the very people who get screwed over time and time again by republican policies. I suppose it's the same thing as the idiot Brexit voter in the UK complaining about how hard it is to now do business with the EU.

Never underestimate the stupidity of people.

And in any society, abortion is safe and accessible to the elite. You can't ban abortion, you can only make it difficult and dangerous for poorer women. Rich women - their gynaecologist will sort it for a hefty fee.

That first paragraph could absolutely apply to Johnson over here.
