Your favourite biscuit and most disliked biscuit

deeahgwitch · 16/07/2024 10:14

What is your favourite biscuit ?
What is the biscuit you dislike most?

My favourite is
Chocolate covered Kimberley biscuit, though it was nicer when it had more chocolate covering it years ago.
The coating has definitely thinned.

Also utterly delicious but sadly discontinued is the Chocolate covered ( fully enrobed in chocolate) Boaster. Delicious.

Least favourite
Rich Tea or Arrowroot.
They are so bland why bother making them ?

Favourite chocolate hob nob.
Least Favourite malted milk.

spaceagemat · 16/07/2024 10:23

I quite like a rich tea! My favorite is probably a dark chocolate ginger biscuit especially the borders one's I also like their dark chocolate raspberry and orange ones.

My least favourite are those cookies you get that are soft, like wtf? And I am not a fan of a penguin.

Regalia · 16/07/2024 10:25

Favourite either lemon puffs or Dove Farm wholemeal digestive.
Least favourite either custard creams or fig rolls — texture horrible in both cases..

labamba007 · 16/07/2024 10:28

Favourite - chocolate hobnob and digestives (always dunked in coffee). I can also eat a lot of nice biscuits!

Least favourite - shortbread, most of them are very dry!

spaceagemat · 16/07/2024 10:29

I have a lot of love for a fig roll, I have a packet coming tomorrow in my shop!

Fig rolls and Soreen are my "healthy" biscuits and cakes 😉

Edited

That is niche! I just find them horribly squishy, as if they’ve already gone stale.

Mrsjayy · 16/07/2024 10:31

Oh Gingernuts are my favourite

Burboun creams. They taste soapy

SummerSue · 16/07/2024 10:33

Love fig rolls, cadbury fingers and vienese swirls
Hate malted milk, oreos, lotus, jaffa cakes (they are in the biscuit isle) and ginger nuts, party rings break your teeth awful things

Everything else is ok

spaceagemat · 16/07/2024 10:34

@Regalia Ah well al the more for me and @SummerSue

pumpkinpiee · 16/07/2024 10:34

Favourite either a Tim Tam or chocolate covered malted milk
Least favourite either rich tea or garibaldi 🤮

I am quite passionate about biscuits

hildabaker · 16/07/2024 10:37

What a great thread!
I love chocolate digestives, straight from the fridge
I don't like those dry pink wafers, all sweet and dusty, without substance

RaraRachael · 16/07/2024 10:40

Favourite - a good shortbread or milk chocolate digestive

Least favourite - rich tea and Oreo

Wishihadanalgorithm · 16/07/2024 10:43

Favourite: custard cream
least: lemon puff

In fairness, biscuits are my favourite thing to eat. I’d choose biscuits over any other treat foods every time.

Gingerkittykat · 16/07/2024 10:48

Favourite is caramel digestives which I very rarely buy because I know I would eat the whole packet!

Least favourites are pink wafers and rich tea.

BestIsWest · 16/07/2024 10:51

Best - Ginger Nut
Least - Milk chocolate Hobnob.

I haven’t seen a lemon puff in years, where do you get them? I used to love them.

MagpiePi · 16/07/2024 10:54

Favourite - a good shortbread, it has to be properly sweet and not made with rice flour. They are even better with chocolate chunks in.
Least favourite - custard creams, they have a weird taste, and jammy dodgers, they are so bland and cheap tasting.

I do like rich tea biscuits and plain digestives.

Comedycook · 16/07/2024 11:00

Favourite is a Viennese whirl

Worst is bourbon...no idea why they're so popular. I find them horrible

Keepingcosy · 16/07/2024 11:04

Favourite: M&S extremely chocolatey biscuit - or actually any biscuit in their chocolate biscuit boxes. Scrummy.

Least favourite: Nice biscuits. Luckily rarely seen these days.

LegoTherapy · 16/07/2024 11:06

Rich tea are part of our first aid kit. Excellent emergency biscuits for when anyone is sick but is at the point of wanting or needing to try to eat something. Getting the blood sugar back up helps stop the nausea.

I like most biscuits I think. Those M&S butter biscuits are great. Fig rolls are great for constipation. I should put those in the first aid kit too. Lotus are a current favourite. A chocolate hobnob or 6 is essential for breastfeeding ime. Caramel digestives are amazing but hard to find which is s good thing. Shortbread the proper butter kind is a pure, simple delight. Pink wafers are also good for when my gastritis flares up and I can't stomach much. Oreos are weird. Bourbons are not that nice and neither are custard creams.

A Tunnocks caramel wafer is a household staple.

Eggy cookies can sod off.

MeinKraft · 16/07/2024 11:07

It's hard to beat a chocolate hob nob dipped in tea or coffee. Rich tea are also an oft overlooked favourite.

MonsteraMama · 16/07/2024 11:07

Favourite - chocolate Viennese whirl

Least favourite - Garibaldi's

SummerSnowstorm · 16/07/2024 11:07
