What is your favourite biscuit ?
What is the biscuit you dislike most?

My favourite is
Chocolate covered Kimberley biscuit, though it was nicer when it had more chocolate covering it years ago.
The coating has definitely thinned.

Also utterly delicious but sadly discontinued is the Chocolate covered ( fully enrobed in chocolate) Boaster. Delicious.

Least favourite
Rich Tea or Arrowroot.
They are so bland why bother making them ?

Work of Satan - Bourbons, Oreos

Least Favourite: Pink wafers

least favourite/don't like: malted milk or pink wafers

I think the only biscuits I won't touch are the ones my grandchildren make/decorate. Grin

Far too hard to pick a favourite/least favourite.

When I was small I remember my mum's friend, who worked at a biscuit factory, bringing home the 'seconds' in large brown boxes. We used to knock on her door and ask 'got any brockies?' (broken biscuits).

MikeRafone · 16/07/2024 13:22

It surprised me it took so long for someone to mention Garibaldi - surely the King of Horrible Biscuits.

I really enjoy a dead fly biscuit and a fig roll

we had two Tunnocks tea cakes each! not ten minites ago! after scrambled egg on toast with fried tomato, needed something sweet - my daughter inadvertently left a box in the fridge ha ha
love the crack and the fluffy marshmallow

I don't like what my mother used to call "cheap biscuits" - custard cream, pink wafers, fig roll, bourbon type of thing.

No dunking at all where I come from. I was really confused the first time I met my XMiL. She like to think she was classy and when she gave me a cup of tea with a digestive she asked why I wasn't dunking. Firstly I'd no idea what that meant and secondly I couldn't believe somebody who liked to appear posh would even do that!

This post is so lower-middle class it’s almost twitching its net curtains.

Sussurations · 16/07/2024 13:26

i love fig rolls and Garibaldis too. My favourite though is a plain digestive (I never buy them, I can’t leave them alone)

least favourite, since childhood, are iced gems. I also hate those horrible iced party rings.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 16/07/2024 13:27

White chocolate fingers. Most loved in our house.

Don’t like coconut rings, fig rolls or garibaldi.

I used to love Foxes crinkle crunch butter biscuits before they discontinued them. I’ve tried other brands but not the same.

Thighdentitycrisis · 16/07/2024 13:28

@BestIsWest
I bought these when I saw them but they were a disappointment, not nearly lemony enough

Dark chocolate hobnob
Rich tea
I’m sure I don’t need to say which is which!

SOxon · 16/07/2024 13:37

does anyone remember Chocolate Olivers? I havn’t seen one for years -

Loakers chocolate hazlenut separately wrapped,
dark chocolate gingers,

good quality butter made shortbread
Viennese, chocolate dipped both ends
Tunnocks obvs

ginger nuts, hardtack, the dentist’s friend
flies graveyards Garibaldi
custard creams, scream, shudder,
dry fig rolls

digestive biscuits, I’m on the fence with, ok for cheesecake bases,
good for Cheshire, Caerphilly
or even a little bit of Wensleydale cheese with a sliver of apple adorning

Me too. If I kept them in the house I would eat a whole pack of dead flies or fig rolls with one cup of tea.

Dentalflossie · 16/07/2024 13:46

Also used to love a lincoln biscuit as you can nibble round the concentric circles. Haven't had one in years though.

Uiommpourting · 16/07/2024 13:46

It’s a draw between ginger nuts and dark chocolate digestives.

least liked are custard creams.

BouleDeSuif · 16/07/2024 13:51

Favourite- crunch cream, Fox's
Least favourite - Bourbon.

BestIsWest · 16/07/2024 13:53

@Thighdentitycrisis I remember the lemon as being really zingy.

Blanketpolicy · 16/07/2024 13:53

IKEA ginger thins. I find ginger nuts too crunchy/hard, but love the taste.

Least liked anything with a chocolate biscuit - bourbon biscuit, chocolate cookies, oreo. Chocolate coated is ok.

IClaudine · 16/07/2024 13:57

Plain digestives. So versatile!

Time40 · 16/07/2024 14:00

You all need to try Mull Island Bakery biscuits, especially the lemon ones.

I'd say Oreos are my hated biscuits, but they aren't biscuits - they are crimes against humanity.

Deathraystare · 16/07/2024 14:02

Love: Lui/Ginger snaps
Loathe: Bourbon - yeuch!

DoNotScrapeMyDataBishes · 16/07/2024 14:07

Custard creams are the worst biscuit in the world - a layer of sick in between two layers of disappointment.

JanglingJack · 16/07/2024 14:11

Least favourite - Squashed fly biscuits (that's the only name I've ever known them by! Raisins in them?)

Favourite - just a classic shortbread, thank you.

goingtotown · 16/07/2024 14:14

Favourite Boarders Dark Chocolate Gingers. I buy a pack every week, sit in the car & demolish the pack.

Least Favourite Custard Creams.

Sudename · 16/07/2024 14:15

Fave Cadbury chocolate fingers
Least fave Ginger nuts
