Your favourite biscuit and most disliked biscuit

What is your favourite biscuit ?
What is the biscuit you dislike most?

My favourite is
Chocolate covered Kimberley biscuit, though it was nicer when it had more chocolate covering it years ago.
The coating has definitely thinned.

Also utterly delicious but sadly discontinued is the Chocolate covered ( fully enrobed in chocolate) Boaster. Delicious.

Least favourite
Rich Tea or Arrowroot.
They are so bland why bother making them ?

Favourite, M&S chocolate digestives, I don't really eat any others unless it's shortbread.
Least favourite, Nice. Just don't see the point. I'm not overly keen on Bourbons either but DH loves them!

Fave = time out
Worst = pink wafer thingies

I like the pink wafer things because they are so full of chemicals they cause a kind of reaction on your tongue that makes them taste cold even though they aren't.

Probably best limited to once a year in Christmas Biscuit boxes though.

That is the best description ever of the slightly horrible but compelling taste of the pink wafers. It’s like Proust’s madeleine, but less classy.

Favourite: McVities plain chocolate digestive or shortbread.
Toxic filth: ginger biscuit.

TheHuntSyndicate · 16/07/2024 17:18

Shortbread is my favourite. Not a big biscuit eater in general though.

Awful biscuits are Rich tea.

BiscuitsForever · 16/07/2024 17:20

Favourite: Chocolate Malted milk
Least favourite: Nice biscuits

ThemeTune · 16/07/2024 17:23

Favourite - chocolate hob knob or any chocolate covered biscuit tbh.

least favourite is a custard cream. Sickly.

DPotter · 16/07/2024 17:48

favourite
maple cream cookies - think maple syrup custard creams. they're canadian
Lemon melts with white chocolate
hobnobs

least favourite
Oreos - I've tried, I really have but I can't see the attraction. Any 'flavour'. They all seem tasteless
figs rolls (not sure they are biscuit)
garibaldi biscuits - simply not worth the effort

Elderflower14 · 16/07/2024 17:49

Orange Custard Cream.. Yum...
Fig Roll.... Yuck!!

Thursa · 16/07/2024 18:08

Favourites…chocolate hobnob, chocolate digestive, Tunnocks anything

dislike…fig rolls, garibaldis, Oreos.

deeahgwitch · 16/07/2024 18:15

Oh gosh I'd forgotten about Nice biscuits. Saved by the topping. Otherwise as bad as Rich Tea or Marietta.

I'm convinced my dm used to buy Rich Tea because us dc wouldn't bother eating them so there were always shite biscuits for visitors if someone called unexpectedly.

Favourite : McVitie’s dark chocolate digestives. The combination of sweet & salty biscuit with just the right amount of dark, slightly bitter chocolate is just perfect. I could literally eat a whole packet.

Most disliked : Those weird pink wafer things. Yuck.

FelixDoublyDelicious · 16/07/2024 18:22

M&S chocolate covered custard creams and chocolate covered bourbons = favourite

Fig roll = just no

Fatcaterpillar · 16/07/2024 18:33

@Thighdentitycrisis I was glad I bought those. I couldn't eat the whole packet, I threw some away. Unlike the original round ones which are delicious and moreish.

Getonwitit · 16/07/2024 18:37

I don't turn many biscuits down but i just can't eat fig rolls. The oes i buy most are malted milk, garibaldi and Nice.

I’ll have to look out for those chocolate covered custard creams!

Best - Ginger Nut
Least - Milk chocolate Hobnob.

I haven’t seen a lemon puff in years, where do you get them? I used to love them.

You are my exact opposite!
Was just about to say chocolate hobnobs are best and ginger nuts worst.
Although to be fair there isn't a biscuit I couldn't eat...

Sosorryliver · 16/07/2024 18:51

Borders biscuits are my go to treat. In particular the dark chocolate and ginger biscuit and the lemon drizzle shortbread.

I dislike Oreo’s, jammy dodgers, anything double layered and filled is generally a disappointment.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 16/07/2024 18:52

Best biscuit: Empire biscuits

Worst biscuit: Bourbons

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 16/07/2024 18:55

I love Malted Milk and hate Bourbon.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 16/07/2024 18:57

Favourite bought biscuit is a Toffypop

Least favourite is Jammy Dodger

DilemmaDelilah · 16/07/2024 19:48

Favourite - dark chocolate digestive or those ring biscuits covered in loads and loads of chocolate...... but those ones have so much chocolate I don't think they really count as biscuits. Same with penguins (Tim tams) and similar.

Least favourite - fig rolls or anything containing stem ginger.

deeahgwitch · 23/07/2024 07:51

Those Border dark chocolate covered ginger biscuits sound delicious @Sosorryliver
I'll give them a try.

The M&S chocolate covered ginger biscuits are magnificent too @deeahgwitch
